I remember seeing a lot of people complain about "another Mario game, same old blah blah blah"

To be honest I fucking hate that comment, and you see it in game reviews all the time. Take Twilight Princess, the big thing was it's really good, but its kinda more of the same from OoT, well guess what, I really loved OoT, and all I really wanted was more so I was happy that TP was this way. I Personally don't feel like games have to evolve that much from sequel to sequel, in a lot of instances all I want is more levels of the same thing. If I do get board of it, theres always other games out there to try.

Heh, this is a really good post in my opinion. I'm currently playing TP, and after playing about 15 hours worth so far I was like "Man, this is exactly like OoT", which I fucking loved.

I also felt the same way about Zelda 1 and 3...2 just pissed me off because they made it a crappy side-scroller (although some of the game WAS fun), but when they went back to the town down look for Zelda: A Link To The Past I was extremely happy.

I dunno if TP has it, but I really miss the Skulltulla's from OoT...I wasted so much time just exploring and hunting those fucking golden spider things (unless that's what those golden bug things are).

TP has a bigger world but when there isn't anything to do other then progress the story whats the point? OoT had TONS of mini games and sidequest but in TP there isn't shit to do. Better controls? if you have a wii then yes if not then no. TP in my opinion loses alot of its "Epicness" because its just TOO EASY, quite possibly the easiest Zelda ever made. The story just wasn't as exciting and alot of the weapons, well sucked in my opinion. But my favorite Zelda is Link to the Past so I like mini games and extra stuff in my Zelda. TP was delayed for a whole year on the gamecube just so they could launch it with the Wii, I was except ALOT more from the game because I had to wait that extra year and it just didn't deliver, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way

PS Not saying TP was a bad game it just wasn't the 10/10 game I was looking for. Maybe that because I've played and beat every zelda ever created so maybe I'm justed used to game mechanics and boss strategies. But the Zelda series is getting more and more predictable, I think they need to take a break from it for about 5 years and think of some new stuff.

Fishing, Heart containers, poe souls, golden bugs, snowboarding, river rapids, the gliding game, archery training, rollgoal, goat herding, jousting... the list goes on. But your right TP didn't have any mini-games and had nothing to do.

Fishing(thats in every zelda game), Heart containers(That too), poe souls (Aside from the bottle, useless), golden bugs(bigger wallet can't complain but annoying), snowboarding( Yes, a minigame not worth anything Great), river rapids(Can't complain here), the gliding game(Can't complain here), archery training(Again in every Zelda but won't complain), rollgoal, goat herding(Useless), jousting (Don't remember this but ok)... the list goes on. But your right TP didn't have any mini-games and had nothing to do.

Great list but still not up to par with OoT or LttP and both of those games are harder then TP.

No bullshit here since you said this I actually restarted my OoT game during my first time play through because I thought you had to use the keys in the water dungeon a correct way

Of course on the second first play though I figure out were that damn extra key was and i beat the dungeon

I'll never forget that stupid key. Spent like 3 days on it til I found it by total accident. I hear they used to do that a lot in water dungeons.

O Majora's Mask was pretty difficult but I think the hardest Zelda I ever played was Ages/Season on Gameboy color, those games were beasts.

You can actually skip half of the Water Dungeon if you use your keys right.

If you think TP is the easiest Zelda then you probably haven't played Minish Cap. Twilight Princess wasn't particularly hard, but Minish Cap was one step up from Zelda on baby mode. Fun game, but sooooo easy.

I just started playing TP again cause I feel guilty for not beating it yet. as a whole Zelda games are never really particularly hard, the only times they give me trouble is when I stop mid-way through a dungeon. if I plow through a dungeon in one sitting they're all pretty easy, though some of them in A Link To The Past were pretty beast

The Lakebed temple in TP is the only one I had trouble with (and you will only have trouble with it if you try to do it by yourself.. solving it with a guide is just stupid and defeats the purpose of a Zelda game.. >.>)

Then again, I have nightmares from Water Temples (cough, OoT, cough) of sorts, so maybe that had a little bit to do with it.
All in all I enjoyed TP, didn't think it was nearly as good as Ocarina though... i'm still waiting for Nintendo to announce a new Zelda game for the Wii though.

But yeah you're right... stopping in the middle of a dungeon is never fun, since it always puts you in the beginning and half the time you don't remember what it is you were doing in the first place... I usually stop playing right when I enter a dungeon if I know I don't have time to beat it, because I don't want to get confused or lost when I get back to it.
