All ps3 games are bombing sadly. I feel really bad for the devs and I laugh at the producers for wasting money.

Same thing happened to Ratchet... too many games are out for the 360 and Wii atm to justify putting time and money into playing PS3 games... i'm sure i'll get around to it eventually, but it's nothing I'm stressing about right now..

And yea I can't believe you guys aren't loving this game, it is surprising, but to each their own.

It's not that I don't like it, I just don't think it's that much different than any other Mario game i've played... so far. I'm just not that compelled to sit down and go through the levels (then again i'm only like 5 or 6 stars in..) Hopefully it gets better, I still want to finish everything in Assassin's Creed (mainly hunting down the stupid flags and templars now) before moving on to Mario though.

That doesn't make sense regardless of what system it is on a great game is still a great game, just because its on the PS3 doesn't downgrade the quality of the game.

Been busy with Assassin's Creed, that game is awesome lol.

SMG is one of those games where if you keep playing, you will almost certainly find a level or world that will make you say "This is awesome!". But usually, you find that world within the first 30 starts or so...it really does get progressively better, and a lot harder, and the levels keep changing and...blah, why explain it more.

And Uncharted hasn't bombed yet, it still has a chance, especially with Christmas coming. Unlike a lot of other recent PS3 games it seems to be getting good ratings across the board also.

That's not what I meant.. it doesn't downgrade the quality. And yes, it can be the best game over the year... but there are still way too many games out for most people right now, some of them even on the ps3 itself, that they just don't have time to go through all of these games at once.

And Uncharted is kind of a hit/miss, since it's a new title and nobody really knows anything about it except for what they have been told by reviews etc.

With Mario Galaxy, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and Call of Duty 4 all coming out within 2 weeks of Uncharted's release, it's easy to see why it hasn't been selling as well as they might've hoped it will.

I probably won't get around to playing it until after the holidays.. there's just way too much stuff out there, and I don't exactly have a lot of time on my hands heh.

And speaking of new things coming out..anyone getting this thing?

Wii zapper is awesome. Playing umbrella chronicles makes me feel like I'm playing house of the dead. And on top of that Link's crossbow training is pretty freakng cool.

One year ago today, the "you'll be able to walk into a store on launch day and pick one up" console came out. I was in line just for Zelda! 9th unit out of 24. Good times. As long as it keeps dominating I'll keep seeing the games, but I hope in the future they don't release over half of them in the same month.

Anyway...back to Fire Emblem. Stupid FFXI updates take forever...blah.

At Square-Enix’s fiscal meeting they candidly mentioned the White Engine development is moving at a sluggish pace. However, they are not abandoning creating their in house engine. Since the engine is the backbone for Final Fantasy XIII it seems likely that the Playstation 3 game will be further delayed. Square-Enix did not mention a date for Final Fantasy XIII (maybe now 2009?) or Dragon Quest IX, which was originally slated to come out this year.

I knew a LONG time ago that FF13 wouldn't be out stateside in 2008, and now it looks like even Japan won't get it..."wait until FF13" indeed. Glad so many spinoffs are coming also.

Shit we knew FF13 wasn't coming out till 2009. FF12 just came out October of 2006 in America and we know final fantasy games take about 3-4 years to make.

BTW in case anyone didn't know TRU is having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free Wii game sale. I got Metriod Prime 3 and Fire Emblem for regular price and I'm suppose to get Brawl free when it comes out. If TRU doesn't fuck up my online order.

As some of you know Time Crisis 4 comes out tomorrow and I know graphically the game looks ps2ish but the gameplay itself is suppose to more then make up for that fact and they also added a FPS mode in which looks like crap but shooting while moving sounds fun. However I'm in a dillema as $80 dollars is a shitload of money, so do you guys think its worth it?

Btw I have played the arcade version before but I'm guessing there's a difference between that and playing it on a console.

I'm sure people won't like this but all lightgun games are rentals, after 1 play through they are really boring as hell. Light gun games need to stay in the arcade were they belong.
