Of course it's wrong, for there to be a delay, there has to be a date, and not a wait til the PS3 surpasses 10m before we get serious.

The report does say development on the White Engine is not stagnant, but mentions nothing of FF13 and if you believe you'll see FF13 in 2008, you're delirious with all we've seen of FF13, their focus on spin offs/wii/ds and SE's history. There was a demo Crisis Core and a ton of info with regard to FFT for the PSP a year ago and both of those games are recent releases. All we've seen of FF13 is like a few CGI images, nothing of gameplay, no talk of release and just discussion regarding the engine. Even if the engine is finished now, you probably won't see the game til 2009.

No one was discussing whether or not it'd make or break the PS3 just it's release and since everyone on BG, are Final Fantasy fans, it's kind of big deal.

does for some people, in fact lets face it, 2 games are really the only thing keeping a lot of people interested in the PS3. Not to say that games like Uncharted don't deserve recognition, but if it weren't for FFXIII and MGS4 I would have bought a 360 and forgotten about ever getting a PS3 months ago, and I would venture a guess a lot of people feel the same way.
