What is it with you and your hate for Rock Band? It's doing just fine... and your preciously easy, watered down version of guitar hero wouldn't even be around today if it wasn't for harmonix. So show some respect foolOriginally Posted by Po

any popular game couldnt say that, its slow because of the price tag. things like the legendary halo 3 is the same way. we still have some left over, they just dont sell that well at such a high price point unless someone comes specifically looking for that item.
Maybe not a good place to ask, but does Microsoft replace/reimburse games broken by the 360? Started getting an unplayable disc error trying to start up orange box, I take the game out and look at it, and there's a barely visible, tiny crack on the inner ring of the disc. Figured it was a freak accident or a disc defect, since I've had the same 360 for almost two years without any problems like that, but than it does the same thing to my Halo 3 later the same day.
You call GH3 preciously watered down and easy and you use that as a defense for Rock Band? That game was a joke in terms of difficulty. And it was horrendously ugly, those are the reasons I didn't like it.Originally Posted by ertyu

I just like the whole style of GH way better, but saying GH3 is easy as a defense for Rock Band is like the pot calling the kettle black.
I don't see why it's necessary to repeat myself. Plenty of disc only versions of this game were available. You did not have to buy the $170 (or 180 i forget) version with all the instruments (which break), so Harmonix can't really use that as a defense.any popular game couldnt say that, its slow because of the price tag. things like the legendary halo 3 is the same way. we still have some left over, they just dont sell that well at such a high price point unless someone comes specifically looking for that item.
Rock Band is easy until you play Expert.
The po/ho are like in GH2, so you have to hit them on the gd spot (unlike GH3 where you can just hold the button whenever you feel like it and have it register -- see Stricken for example >.> the part where it goes GR>ho/poG>G>GR or w/e would never work in Rock Band..)
Hell i'm still struggling with GGaHT on Rock Band Expert because of the ho/po system which I have a hard time getting used to after being spoiled (and yes, it's being spoiled) by GH3.
Plus I don't get the hate gh3 fans have for Rock Band.. you COULD just buy the game as well you know, it's not a competition. >.>
I really want to invest my time into the cult that is Guitar hero/Rock Band franchise...but Im scared ill break the peripherals
My hands are very stubby (Fatty Fingers), and the price does look a little too steep
Im hoping Amazon goes a little ape shit when demand dwindles down and ill buy it for a huge bargain
The Halo LE edition on Amazon right now is $69.99..yeah the helmet 1 ($129.99)
I'm hoping Rock Band drops really good in price, maybe ill pick up the drum/guitar combo...I cant sing for shit so no mic
Well it comes in the box..
I would say just buy gh3 and then buy rock band separately... you can buy the drums later when they release them (it's what i'm doing anyways.. I hate the way the Rock Band guitar feels and plays anyways, i'm better off playing with the Xplorer or the Les Paul.)
EDIT: if you get it for the PS3 you're gonna have to buy the rock band guitar actually, so you have to get the bundle... apparently the gh3 people are being dicks and won't let harmonix release a patch that allows the gh3 guitar to work on RB. Yet for some reason the 360 gh2/gh3 guitars work just fine on RB. >.>
I tried both and just really disliked rock band for reasons I have mentioned many times.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Not with ho/pos you haven't heh... trust me Rock Band is a lot harder than GH3. And I have/love both.Originally Posted by Po
I rather like the idea of playing the guitar and singing at the same time. That kind of difficulty actually impresses me.Originally Posted by Exoduso
It gets pretty confusing, especially if you don't know the song. It's fun though.
edit: is the quote in that sig from ES?
edit2: tease much?

Nice Exo
Is the game able to be played in English? Or no?
OH shit FF IV available on BC already D:<.
Too bad my DS isn't modded or w/e...how much does that shit cost? (Btw i WILL be buying the US version when it comes out, so don't get your panties in a bunch)
And just to confirm, you CANNOT use the GH3 (PS3) controller on RB? Cause I was thinking of getting it...but I guess i hear, that you can't?
New PS3 and PSP firmware updates will include:
PS3
BD Profile 1.1 (technically, its 2.0) support added
DivX/Xvid and VC-1 (WMV) support added
New visualizer
PSP
Can RemotePlay PS1 titles
Internet Radio
I bought the supercard lite from one of the websites that sell these things... along with the memory card it came with (extremely small SD card) and a sb/usb connector, it cost me about 100 bucks I think? and it plays them all like a charm, very worth it.Originally Posted by Pro
And yeah, I downloaded FF4 to get the feel of the game, but i'll end up buying the US release. I do like supporting Square cus they're awesome.(and no reason not to, all their games are top notch.)
And nah you can't use the GH3 guitar on RB on the PS3 (360 version works just fine though..)

http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/ne...ch/18855/?biz=n fact, Harmonix and its parent company MTV Games/Viacom recently declined Activision's offer to reach an agreement that would allow the use of Guitar Hero guitar controllers with Rock Band. We have been and remain open to discussions with Harmonix and MTV Games/Viacom about the use of our technology in Rock Band. Unfortunately for Rock Band users, in this case Harmonix and MTV Games/Viacom are unwilling to discuss an agreement with Activision.
the way it's worded, it could be that activision is asking for money, which would still make them the bad guy.
Exo does the game have english support or no?
Nope.
EDIT: By the way, Crisis Core: FF7 is being released on March 25 in case anyone missed the memo. >.>
memo noted.
buying PSP in march, lol
