The first Resistance 1 had 40 player MP right? How did that turn out? How long did matches take to get started and are 40 player matches available all the time? How long were the matches?

Well Most think sequel will be called Resistance: Insomniacs Game Developers are GODS!, kidding, really most likely Resistance: Rise of Man

Games were fast paced, TDM's (Team Deatch Matches) lasted 10-15 minutes, FFA's (Free-For-All's) are quicker, OBJ's (Objectives) lasted longer from 20-45 minutes (average)

I think just add 5-15 minutes to each type of game for the sequel

Mind you, Resistance 1, had different options from 8,16, 32, 40 player matches, this just adds a 50 and 60 player matches

Vehicles will make an appearance, new weapons (most likely), new classes/perks, and theres always gonna be DLC map packs in the future

Resistance: Fall of Man (1), great community, nice skins, weaponry is insane, + DLC map packs, 2 have been released so far, + updates/patches
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Just Amazing, feels like an interactive Indiana Jones + Tomb Raider + Summer Hollywood Blockbuster in 1)
Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools of Destruction (Great Platformer, Mario is almost always comes out to bethe best, but being praised by Miyamoto is a cool honor)
Heavenly Sword (great visually, plays great, short on gameplay time, rental @ best, but is an experience)
Unreal Tournament 3 (Mods from the PC community allowed, nuff said)
Eye of Judgement (Yu-Gi-OH! on crack, Magic the Gathering kind of flare)

I think it's safe to say that owning a PS3 is at least starting to sound plausible with the amount of games that are starting to come out. When are the rumble controllers going to be released in the states? (this is my main deal breaker)

Well, despite what has been revealed on this page, as each day goes on I get closer to wanting a PS3 for "completionary" purposes. My Wii gets very little use, my 360 a lot, and with some of the PS3 exclusives coming up this year, I can see my 360 playtime being halved. My question is: with so many different models of the PS3 being out (some having more "little" features than others), what do I truly need, and which is the biggest bang/buck? PS2 compatibility HAS to be there because I use my PS2 (and future PS3) to 2box in XI. Should I wait for the 80GB to hit $399? I could care less about the free 5 BD movies, I already have them all anyways.

As a reference, I bought the 360 when it was $499, and price protected it when it hit $399, so that's where I'd like to stay as a magical marker. Now, I'm in no rush seeing as the PS3 exclusives are still months off, and any other game I can just grab/prefer for the 360 due to achievements/live. I think as I keep typing I'm starting to answer my own question, but any other feedback would be appreciated.

Sony said Spring '08, I most likely see the Dualshock 3 releasing here in the states around April or May when Metal Gear Solid 4 hits..maybe a $49.99 MSRP?

Best Bet was to get the 60GB PS3 (the original, $599.99) Rare (I have this 1)
It has the PSX(1)/2 EE (Emotion Engine chips in it), 4 USB ports, all the cards readers + wifi, Chrome Finish

The 20GB is Super Rare, ($499.99)
Had everything just like the 60GB just w/o the card reader + wifi, and no Chrome Finsh =/

I'm personally waiting, they're working on new models and the must have games on the system are a while away. At the very least, a white one to match my wii360 with a DS3 packed in, at most a "slim" version with 45nm chips inside!

They're phasing out the 20/60GB version in Japan, but have said other ones will follow.

Sony said that this does not mean the 40-GB machine will be the only model available in Japan and that it will launch new models to respond to end-user preferences sometime in the future.

Every PDF I've seen lately has been dated thru Jan 31st. Maybe there is a March 31st guy floating around.

I read somewhere earlier that Sony is producing the PS3 for around 400 bucks now, they claim to be making them at cost. It cost them around 800 to make them initially.

Resistance 2 is gonna be cramped unless they produce Warhawk-size maps for multiplayer.

Of course, but an equivalent Lost Planet would have been "ok.." instead we get an inferior one(so far at least).

But very few people will be buying this anyway, if it wasn't so evident they're doing a minimum wage port job I'd say this wasn't gonna make them any money.

Wheres our next-gen(current-gen) Mega Man? or Ghouls-N-Ghosts? Final Fight? Battle Arena Toshinden? or even a new IP?

This all came under the promise of "BIG NEWS FOR PS3 FANS!" which generated a bunch of hype online, and then they shit all over the place by announcing a year old port which didn't look very good.
