I, personally, doubt the return of the cel-shading style although I loved it more than anything... it got hugely mixed reviews worldwide, regardless of Famitsu giving it a perfect 10. People crapped their pants about previews of Twilight Princess' dark/mature look so why not continue that for at least one more game? It's just that the "oh look, ganon is back from the dead somehow" storyline might be eye-rolling. Wind Waker's explaination to the rehashing of Link vs Ganon was very creative, while Twilight Princess was just another "reincarnation" story, so repeating that again just to keep that universe for the next game might be tired.

Or they'll find a new twilight mirror and connect the worlds again? It seems just as likely as Ganon being reincarnated (again), plus I think people are getting sick of Ganon (and saving Zelda....again...)
This series needs more Phantom Hourgalss-like stories, only longer.

And BRP, I just reallllllly disliked Majora's Mask... the dungeons were fun and the masks were okay, but the concept was just annoying (mainly referring to the 3-days issue)... I can't stand games with time constraints.

And prime 3? And mario galaxy? And Zack and Wiki? And No more Heroes?

The official announcement already came out on the PS blog saying that MGO is going to come packaged with MGS4 at no extra cost.

It will not be the full version, only a taste of it.

Still, there's no denying the Wii is really just a second console for serious gamers who have a 360 or PS3. I pity anyone who only has a Wii for games...

Apparently you missed the point of what he said.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing the PS3 machine, it's just that we weren't really aware of what the full-spec PS3 offered - we were creating something we couldn't entirely see.

And saying Kojima's team sucks is a huge LOL. And if he overestimated the PS3, graphically he couldn't do much more with the 360 either. This isn't an excuse to bring it over to the 360, money is.

I'm not saying the Wii has no good games, just that it doesn't have a steady flow of them. I mean, this year we've had Melee 1.5, Mario Kart soon (which I don't even intend on buying), No More Heroes...but what else? I know Nintendo said they were going to announce their big holiday game at E3... It's just the standard Nintendo hardware platform problem - 99% of the games worth buying are from Nintendo, and as awesome as they are, they can't put out a triple A title every month.

I've had my Wii since launch, and I have 5 games for it. I bought my 360 4 months afterwards, and I've got 28 (12 shooters, and that's not including arcade downloads).

Different strokes, seriously. I have more games for Wii atm then I did my PS2 (and that's not counting the games I got to enjoy like Pikmin 2 and BK: O since I never got into the 'cube), while my 360 library consists of 4 games (5 if you count FFXI), and i can't even be bothered to consider a PS3 purchase after the whole BC thing, especially since none of the four games I have interest in are out yet.. But I do not complain or laud the 360 for it, games I want come out sometimes (eagerly awaiting Vesperia, IU and most likely SO4), and I'm not saying the Wii has "teh bestest lineups evarz", especially since 3rd parties haven't been pulling their weight on the systems.

But still, a "serious" gamer can find plenty of things to do on the Wii, especially if they aren't into online shooters. A good game is a good game, first party or third party. Plus, there's a slew of promising Wiiware titles coming out next month, and every company is of course going to have big end-of-year gaming releases, thinking otherwise if just stupid. We've just known about PS3's since last year, and MS's has been revealed over the end of last year/beggining of this year. I'm personally expecting Animal crossing, Pikmin, Wii Music, or Kid icarus, but who knows? Certainly no one here...my basic point. You can't really knock off Nintendo's sequels as "whatever 1.5" and then call the big sequels on the other system "the greatest thing ever" either. It just doesn't work like that, sorry. >.>

In other news (which I'll have to link a bit later since i'm on Wii atm), the video games industry recieved more than 1 billion dollars in profit last month. The Wii broke the record for the biggest non-holiday non-launch month ever, selling ~720k units to best the PS2's record of ~680k units a few years ago. SSBB clocked in at 2.7 mill sold, overall software sales (for all systems I think) were pretty good. I know FF:CC charted in top 10, which is pretty nice for PSP.

I really wonder if western devs are seriously going to try to go the whole gen ignoring the Wii when it continues to break previous industry records. Some are on board, and more are trying to be, but I reallllllly hope more wisen up, it's been getting more than a little dumb. I don't expect physical games yet (a good game does take a few years to come out I know), but at least a nice "You have our support" or something...no more self-fullfilling prophecies. It's a business, if Capcom, Harmonix, Suda, Sega, and SE can do it and profit, others should be just as capable...
