I say "laugh at achievements" because part of me thinks they're retarded too, but for whatever reason I enjoy them. I said as much in my last post, where I called them useless but motivating for me. I say "laugh at achievements" because a lot of people have mixed feelings about them. I can't tell if you're serious or not now.

Deejay was giving his opinion, but he didn't tell you to buy the 360 version or die. If his comment induces doubt, its only because you already had doubts at some level. Inducing doubt isn't the same as forcing an opinion on someone. I'm really not sure what to make of your last post.

I honestly still don't know how I feel about the Achievements. On the other hand, I do try to get the Achievements but they are not important enough for me to play the game twice. Take Mass Effect for example; I loved the game, and I tried to do every Achievement I possibly could, but once the credits rolled I lost interest in the game. The same thing would've happened with Lost Odyssey, which is why I did EVERYTHING before going to the Tower of Mirrors* (980/1000 score, fuck that treasure hunting achievement, I'm not gonna backtrack through every god forsaken zone just for that).
So, on the other hand they do motivate me to do sidequesting and other extra content, but then again most Achievements are just too much trouble for me to even try them (like the aforementioned Lost Odyssey treasure collecting Achievement).

Oh, and going back to the GTAIV discussion, I'm not trying to justify my decision to you, I was just sharing my reasons for getting PS3 version in hopes that it would maybe help others with Xbox360 and PS3 in deciding which version to get. I know my reasons are pretty unique to my situation, but still.

I'm definitely an achievement whore, and just like Xavier, I just don't know what it is that drives me to get those stupid things. I guess part of me likes the challenge of them. I definitely think that gamerscore is less important than which achievements you have. I don't rent games for an easy 1000, all of my gamerscore is from playing games I bought because I wanted them. I just wish more games either 1) gave/unlocked things once you did them (Mass Effect) or gave you gamerpics for getting the hardest achievements (Gears/Mass Effect).

I remember staying off of the internet for the entire week before HP7 came out. I just played Gears on XBL during that time <_<. I doubt I'm going to do that now, but I'm definitely staying away from the GameFAQs GTAIV board.

So, I played the demo for The Club last night and I actually liked it lol..it reminded me of some old game I used to love (on the ps2 iirc?), I can't remember the name of it though.

Either way, doubt it's worth a purchase, but i'll definitely give it a try.

Meh I don't care about spoilers, sooner or later I will play the game, makes do difference from a friend of mine telling me about the game, I don't look for spoilers though, just don't get mad if one happens to cross my eyes.
