I mean, the games give me the impression that it would that much much much more than that to take down Big Boss.

The guy is a fking legend, thats for sure. The amount of shit that Big Boss had to go through in MGS3 makes Solid Snake look like a pansy.

He wants Big Boss DNA to create super soldiers. Liquid's old body is a flawed clone and can't do that. Liquid's current body is Ocelot's. At the end Big Boss succumbed to flames, yet in the promotional art Big Boss looked in pretty good shape for someone who died by fire. Only his legs looked skeletal.

Exactly what I have always thought dude, good job. Let's hope this is a reality, would be an epic final battle to face off against the true Big Boss to the Snake Eater theme w/ lyrics... oh lord.

PlayStation: The Official Magazine has revealed some more information on the flashbacks in MGS 4 that hinted at playable Metal Gear Solid memories in the game. ...as characters talk and reference other stars of this universe, you may see an X or L1 button icon quickly flash on the screen. Hit the right button while it's highlighted and you'll be treated to a very brief context flashback. Basically, the system uses images and moments from the past Metal Gear games to help visually rekindle your own memories of the who, what, where, and why.

But that is the change in video games as a result of the Wii. This product is being targeted to much more than just the core gamer, that is for sure.

The change in gaming began before the Wii with titles like Madden, Halo, and GTA rivaling blockbusters while being extremely popular with casual gamers. A lot of people bought consoles only for the three previously named titles. Wii's popularity is odd in that it's not extremely popular as a gaming console. A lot of people see it as kind of like a karaoke machine or a electronic board game. There are people out there who bought the Wii with Wii Sports included and pull it out at get togethers just to play Wii Sports. To them that's "playing the Wii". Other games don't exist to them. Games like Wii Play and Wii Fit are more like add-ons than other games.

So right now the current fad to people who can't even name more than Mario and Pacman is playing this fun little box that emulates playing 5 sports. Walmart is capitalizing on this fad because it's so huge.

Mario Kart and SSBB will be one of the top selling games for the Wii and they're not just wii add-ons.

Nintendo is still making a shit load of money on their games, just like usual.

The Wii definitely exists as two different systems. You have the Party Wii and the Nintendo Faithful Wii, the first being cheap, fun while drunk mini-games, the second being traditional Nintendo franchises. Nintendo certainly owes its dramatic rise in popularity to the first, but I don't think you should overlook the second type of games either.

Super Smash Bros did sell 2.7M copies in its first month. But there isn't any denying that games like Wii Play (even though it has a controller) have been the systems top sellers, consistently appearing on the Top 10 each month despite being crap.
