LittleBigPlanet looks fun, but it doesn't exactly wow me. Nice concept though, it will hopefully be a good game. It seems familiar somehow though, can't put my finger on why, but...

Well, our downstairs TV doesn't support 1080p (got it before the big surge of BR/HDDVD), but it does everything else, and we have a really nice sound system, so Dolby crap would be nice. Guess I'll wait for the Elite... gives me a bit of time to save the money too.
The graphics and concept really reminds me of watching Toy Story or something.Originally Posted by Kenai

Wait for it.
It's an FPS. Or close enough to one, no over-the-shoulder camera, it's all in first person.

Also, they're porting RE4 up to Wii + adding wiimote functionality.
Rumors about RE4 Wii are - "According to previous Japanese leaked info, it has everything the PS2 version had, plus extra enemies in some areas, and the cutscenes are now realtime, thanks to the extra CPU time."
**objectionally speaking, all of RE:UC may not be first person, all I have to go off are some choppy translations and that image I posted here. Damage control ftw.
Go go Call of Duty!Originally Posted by PyramidHead
Call of Duty 3 was horrible for all systems.
The only FPS im really looking forward to for Wii is Metroid.
I'm waiting for all the FPS that come out after Metroid mimicing the controls, I"m that confident in it.Originally Posted by Deejay

You guys both have XBOX360's you should have your FPS fix allready! lol
Bullshit. Have you played Trauma Center or Elebits? That thing is like a laser pointer, accurate as hell. Any shortcomings aren't with the Wiimote, but with the developers. The Wiimote is as inaccurate as shit, and it would only be exaggerated when trying to aim in a FPS.
I am basing it soley on my Wiisports experience.Originally Posted by PyramidHead

wiimote's inaccuracy in a lot of games are due to the software imo... although a lot of those same games require the control to be not TOO accurate to make people pull on their hair
i think they should allow you to adjust the accuracy rating like adjusting mouse scroll sensitivity/speed cuz people have different preferences
You're basing a controllers accuracy on a DEMO, which is what Wii Sports is really, that rarely gives you controll over the wiimote for pointing? Other then Baseball and Boxing, you have no controll over it really.Originally Posted by Mysterio
God forbid you base it off an actual game. Like Zelda, Red Steel, etc.
Umbrella Chronicles is gonna be a fucking House of the Dead.
I'm more keen on RE4: Wii edition than it.
^ I agree with that. And it would be pretty damn hard to mess up a game as good as RE: 4, I am sure it will still be great. Any idea on when this is coming out?
Epical - One thing about the 360 Wifi. The wireless adapter is 100 dollars which made me pretty mad, but I sucked it up. And it does work flawlessly, I've never had any problems with it.
QFT Wiisports does not emphasize actuall pointing rather generalized motion. The wiimote is accurate very accurate.Originally Posted by Falconblade
Aiming in Zelda is super easy and accurate. I am confident as developers get more comfortable with the controller we will get some good FPS games on the wii.
Though honestly FPS games on consols never stack up to PC FPS games.
on a side note yay for RE4 on the wii that looks cool.
A lot of websites leaked a june release date, but nothing official. I think Capcom holds some gamer's day event on April 12th, so we'll probably know then.Originally Posted by Po
**New info on how the wiimote will work.
RE4 Wii confirmed for a May 31st release date in Japan. The Wiimote is used to aim a targeting cursor in order to target and fire at your enemies. To reload, you hold down on the B trigger and shake the Wiimote. In case you were wondering, the built-in speaker is being programmed with a reload sound effect.
The Wiimote is also used for close-range attacks. When an enemy approaches, all you have to do is give the Wiimote a little of the shake-shake. The game automatically detects the direction of the enemy and makes Leon perform a knife attack. This move can also be used against trees and barrels.
The rest of the game has also been modified to take account of the Wii's unique controller. Interactive event scenes display the Wii buttons when prompting for input. Some events require that you shake the Wiimote.

Meh another game that will be wasted with the wii gimmick.
I really hope Super Paper Mario is good, because I haven't booted up the Wii in about 3 months now.
I check my virtual console store every Monday, that's about it lol. Just got Beyond Oasis and Star Fox 64 this week! (forgot to check last week, one of those was probably released then.)Originally Posted by Exoduso
I play through games too fast on it and then end up trying to finish games on other systems that I still have sitting around and forget about the Wii. ;/
