These games are awesome. You'll enjoy them and almost forget about 4.

The MGS4 Database is a free, downloadable interactive application that contains the official knowledge base of everything that is Metal Gear, reaching all the way back to the very beginning of the franchise. Including complete storylines, character profiles, relationship diagrams, and much more! The MGS4 database is a great way to catch up for someone new to Metal Gear, as well as a useful resource for any veteran of the series, with complete official details on every aspect of the intricate Metal gear lore.
The MGS4 Database also contains a special feature – if you want to make use of the database, but have not yet fully played through MGS4 yet and are worried about spoilers – all MGS4 spoilers are “blacked out” until you’ve beaten MGS4. Give it a try!
But that’s not all, within MGS4, check out the EXTRAS option of the main menu (if you haven’t already). There’s already new, free downloadable content available for the game - with new camouflage and a new music track for the in game iPod. There will be more forthcoming, so be sure to check this often!
Fucking amazing, and fucking sad, PS3 still being repaired ;;
Sweet, I need this. Finished Uncharted last night...great game, a little short and repetitive, but still great. Can't wait to start MGS4 tonight.Originally Posted by Tyche
Hey guys, this is the most active thread so I'm coming to you.
PS3 MGS4 Bundle, I can't get it anywhere, got a birthday in 3 weeks and I really don't want to wait much longer. I found it online for $554 and it'll be here in a few days or whatever how long shipping takes.
Worth it to buy? Or buying everything separate?
40g+Dualshock3+MGS4 comes to about 515, 520ish. Finding the 80g in a store will come to around 524, but I might not find it. 80g online 554.
Separately I would end up with a 2nd controller (cause 40g comes with the shitty one and I'd buy a dualshock3 separate). I would lose out on 2 usb ports (would I even use? lol) reverse compatibility (I have a slim ps2, haven't touched it in a while) and the Memory card slots (with a psp, usb cables, and a pc nearby, don't really need them)
So how worth it is it to buy the bundle for 554, or is it worth running to stores/calling at 8am everyday for 3 weeks, or should I just buy all separately? Is the extra 40gigs that great, I mean, I delete stuff often and never came close to filling the 360's HDD. Halp lol. INC EXO ON MSN!
gamestop has a deal for 40gb + mgs4 + ds3 for $484.97, and no the hdd space isnt really an issue, and they are easily upgradable for hdd size anyways. it's really just if you absolutely need the bc that it comes with. and the controller that comes with the 40gb will be a regular sixaxis.
backwards compatibility is the only deal breaker here
it's why I waited for the 80gb to return
If you find yourself needing 3 you can get a USB hub.Originally Posted by Boyiee

If that Walmart deal is still going on, get the 40gb for $399 + $100 gift card. Or get the 40gb from SonyStyle.com and sign up for their credit card to get a $100 credit. So how worth it is it to buy the bundle for 554, or is it worth running to stores/calling at 8am everyday for 3 weeks, or should I just buy all separately? Did Sony drop the MSRP on the Dualshock 3 controller? Amazon.com and Walmart.com both have it for $49 instead of $55.
Would anyone recommend Folklore for the PS3?
no.
very pretty but 2 things completely killed it for me, namely the map is the worst map system ive ever seen. second theres zones all over and everything respawns everytime you zone. so you zone, kill things, its a dead end, go back, and everything is up again. very annoying.
Rent it, but it will get boring very fast. I personally stopped about halfway through.Originally Posted by Norelco
I didn't mind the aspect of everything respawning. It made it really easy to farm for extra abilities and it's not as if you couldn't just run through the area without fighting anything.Originally Posted by izembo
Give it a week, bundles ARE being restocked. Hell, in Indianapolis walmart and few other places have already got second shipments. Just keep calling stores, you should be able to find one before 3 weeks is up.Originally Posted by Boyiee
Most places have it for $20 new, and for that price I would recommend it.Originally Posted by Norelco
unless you dont care about bc, then the bundle is a waste of money
Anyone getting Alone in the Dark next week? Two reviews so far which puts it at a 72% average... Most of the complaints seem to be about the controls, and some glitches. From reading player impressions, seems to be a love it or hate it sort of thing. I can deal with the controls I'm sure(having played through all the of RE and SH games with the exceptions of SH'4' and RE3), but I dunno... I've been really hyped about this game for a long time, but I just don't want to waste $60 (though it wouldnt be the first time).
I don't see this deal online, is this only in stores or is it over because I would take that deal for sure.Originally Posted by izembo
And yeah, I thought I really wanted the backwards compatibility, but I really only have FF12 that I would play again and I have a slim for that, no biggie. It's not that the bundle is a waste of money without the bc, but in most cases if you were to buy the bundle, it would be cheaper then 40g+game+ds3 if not identical to the price, and like I said the only thing good about paying the same price for a lesser system is I'd end up with a 2nd controller even though its a shitty one.
