This is the shit that they've been working on instead of an Eternal Darkness sequel?
Fuck this.

On the plus side, just played the Tales of Vesperia demo, thought that it looked like it could be a pretty solid RPG, although I have to admit I thought the difficulty was a bit high for a demo.
Really? I didn't think it was that hard. Then again I did play a lot of the previous games, so the demo wasn't too bad on the difficulty level. God I can't wait for it though..
Wow what a fuckin bummer, the too human demo controls were ass, I hope thats not the finished version, I suggest they delay it and fix the damn controls and or add the unreal engine, would make it much better, so disgusted right now, oh well, tales of vesperia, fall out 3 and fable 2 guuu.
Glad to see people are finally getting into the Tales games, I've been telling people about them for years, yet no one really seemed to be playing them besides a handful of people (that I know).
Too Human demo controls & camera made me wanna cry. Dennis and the rest of Silicon Knights should have never allowed this abomination to reach fruition. There is a reason it's taken nearly ten years to come to this point. No matter how much spit and polish they put on it, a turd is still a turd.
All that time and money could have been spent on Eternal Darkness II... wasted. Now because of Too Human destined to be a flop, I just hope they don't go bankrupt. Although, it would technically serve them right. I cannot believe Dennis defended this thing tooth and nail.
I'm just... speechless.
An evil part of me really wants to see them fail for all the shit and time they put people through. Pretty much the case with Duke Nukem Forever and other annoying titles like that.
Also, I can't even decide for myself if your sig could be considered porn.
I'm a Tales newbie, and I got wrecked by that first boss. I'm sure that when I've figured out how to work everything, it'll be no problem. Just to make sure - you can't switch characters right, just play as Yuri?
In most Tales games you can switch characters, don't know shit about Vesperia... but I assume you can switch.
I played Tales of Destiny (PS1) and Tales of Symphonia (GC) and enjoyed both, but there seems to be a new Tales game released every 3 months so its hard to keep track. Tales of Symphonia 2 (Wii) and Vesperia definitely have me interested though. I'm especially interested in Symphonia 2 because it might just be the first good real RPG for the system.
I'm still in utter shock at just how utterly awful the controls and camera were in Too Human as well, since its been in development forever and these guys have staked their reputation on it. It wouldn't even take huge tweaks to improve it dramatically either, just make melee attacks a standard button and make the right analog stick control a fully rotatable camera and you might have a fairly decent action-hack game. Graphics weren't exceptional but they were certainly tolerable.
I was kind of excited about Too Human's control scheme considering Skate and Fight Night Round 3 pulled it off magnificently. I just don't understand what they were going for with the right stick though. Sure, you're not button mashing, but the lack of any real targeting system just bugged me.
I was sitting there trying to point the right stick in every which way to attack, yet it felt like the character was just swinging his swords in randomly generated (stylized) directions. Dyack said the games focus was around combo's, but how the hell am I supposed to coordinate chain attacks if I have no idea how/where my character is going to swing? The attacks were pretty nice to look at, but besides sliding everywhere (which looks incredibly cheesy), theres nothing consistent about the attacks or controls.
It's like they spent all this man power fleshing out a huge world to crawl/loot in, yet completely forgot about polished gameplay.
The Too Human demo sure is a big letdown. Figured with all that time and their record of making good games this would turn out to be awesome =/
bungie.net has a countdown to something. Supposedly a new platformer they're making.
I was reading around and apparently the new project that Bungie is working on is not a new IP.
The only important stuff from Sony Conference "Greatest hits"

Any idea on when the Greatest hits will be available? I would imagine asap right?
I didn't really see a date mentioned but I think they said in the fall? I could be wrong though
From the leak ads of kmart and circuit city sounds like its going to be at the end of july.

So Wii has overtook the 360 in sales in the US now.....
Also NPD results for June are out, seems Snake did ok for PS3

Me and my friend really liked the Too Human demo, and we are going to go through Co-op as soon as it comes out. Sure, the control style isn't tranditional, and the camera is a bit whacky, but I had a lot of fun with it.
As for Wii overtaking 360: I might care more if it actually had any games coming out that were good. It seems that Sony and Microsoft don't think the Wii is in 'direct competition' with them, either... At least as far as "HD Gaming" goes.
