Well, we can certainly look forward to that in 7 years.

It wouldn't be the Sonic Team we all know and love if they didn't cock up a potentially awesome game with something retarded.
I saw the trailers for Sonic and thought it looked really really fun. The high speed parts weren't interrupted by shitty enemies and unnecessary platform jumps that broke the speed and the platform parts didn't look like they would get cocked up by the speed at which Sonic moves (speed+precision isn't the greatest thing).
Then the warewolf parts showed up and it looked like a Sonic game I would expect. Why couldn't they just include Knuckles who essentially does the same thing instead? Or just not do it at all?
You'd think that they'd put two and two together and realize that Sonic was popular when it was just Sonic and Tails (and even Knuckles), and the games were all about speed, and that their popularity started to dramatically decline as they turned the game into Sonic and Friends Mini-Games.
What happened to you Sega?
Because I wanted to be able to move my PS2 out of the living room as well, and had some interest in MGS4. I wouldn't, and didn't, buy the system just for that game, or anything else coming for it, but I do see it as a bonus. If something is there that really catches my eye, I'll probably get it. Just saying, right now, there's not really anything I'm willing to shell out $60 for. Generally speaking, I'm usually more inclined to find good/great $10-30 games I haven't played yet than buy new releases (hence, why I want backwards compatibility). I barely have any 360 games either.
Between the two, the 360 has more titles I'm interested in getting eventually. If it was just for gaming, I wouldn't have bought a PS3.
The bigger factor to me was that Blu-Ray won over HD-DVD. I didn't want to invest in a player/discs until a winner was determined, and I think I'm not alone in that. While MGS4 came out recently, it's also not been too long since HD-DVD was discontinued, and the PS3 is one of the most recommended Blu-Ray players out there.
I mean, if you head to the AVS forums, the standard answer for "what Blu-Ray player" is a 40GB PS3. So, to me, that might be another thing to account for when looking at sales.
Unfortunately for Sony though, they're selling the things at a loss, which is one reason it's a good deal as a Blu-Ray player. While they're probably making some money on Blu-Ray discs, and certainly by being part of the winning format...that's also a lot of PS3s that aren't going to generate many game sales over time.
Blu-Ray has higher resolution picture, and lower compression or uncompressed sound. On a larger HDTV, the difference is quite apparent.what's the difference between regular DVD and blueray? I watched both version dvd and see nothing difference other than the internet stuff.

I loved the Too Human concept. Too bad the controlls are god aweful. I hated the sliding across screen thing, it felt like i wasnt doing anything, just push a direction and it locked it, the camera blewwwww, and this is supposed to be a trilogy.
Now that FFXIII is 360 bound, the game I may buy a PS3 for....is Naruto.
I still have high hopes for Sonic <.<
360 looks like its becoming a nice RPG console.
Yep, unofficial numbers state it's around 2.5 mil. worldwide, we'll have to wait and see but that number is not far off. Who was saying it was a bad idea to include it as a bundle and it was going to fail, etc? Time to eat some crow (you know who you are). ;o

So, just as we were discussing retarded concepts in Sonic games:

God, I'm at the point where it's like fuck it. SONIC TEAM, MAKE ME THE LEAD DESIGNER FOR YOUR NEXT GAME, I CAN 100% GUARANTEE A BETTER PRODUCT THAN SONIC AND THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS.
The only way Sonic with a sword could be any good is if he held it in his teeth while running really fast.
Edit: Or, if he used it to kill himself.
I will admit though... while anything sonic related has sucked since the Sega Genesis, the new sonic game comming to the 360 looks cool. The day time scene's w/ sonic blazing around seems like they finally got it right... the night wherehog shit, ill remain sceptical about atm.
Sonic Adventure 1 was a great Dreamcast launch title. I'm not sure why no one gives the game any love, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I also remember it being long as hell, maybe not Mario 64 long but it was pretty big game.
Yeah, I remember saving Big's missions for last and was super emo when I realized how shitty he was. It sucked cause you HAD to complete his missions to finish the game. The game would have been a lot better had they made him an optional character. The gameplay wasn't that shitty, it was just mindnumbinly boring to play through for the 2-5 hours it took to complete his story.
Forgot about those, I enjoyed em a lot [but only played the 2nd DS sonic]. Never played Sonic Adventure though I heard it was good. All the new age sonic games where they try to make him more than just a speed demon I havent enjoyed, its why I'm sceptical about there wherehog form, but if they back it w/ a fun combo system and its not a 2 button masher then it can be fun
Sonic Adventure probably doesn't get brought up a lot because it was simultaneously a good game and a huge foreshadow of the crap to come.
