From what I know yes, I am surprised no gaming news websites have done a report on what kind of hardware changes might have happened but I am guessing none now that it is already out.

No the 360 doesn't require mandatory install, only updates on certain games.

there was no changes, only a new hdd. its same packaging and everything, just with a now with a 60gb hd sticker on it. and yes, the refurb ones for 280 are good, and have the same warranty from ms as the others. havent seen any of them come back, at least not at my store, and we had a 20gb come back 2 weeks ago red ring straight outta the box

Is the only difference a bigger hard drive? I don't feel like spending another 50 bucks on that. Xbox doesn't have you install many of the games like PS3, right?

It doesn't require them for most, since it's possible to have a 360 with no HDD. The next big Dashboard update is supposedly going to allow you to copy the disc over from any game to reduce load times and things. So that might be a consideration, considering how expensive the upgrade kits are.

Are those MS refurb Pro ones at Gamestop for $280 solid?

If your slick find a 360 with one of those 60 gig stickers and see if they ring up $299, I read some store are having this problem. Almost wish I had waited to buy mine so I could have tried it.

I know there different barcodes and the boxes look the same. Having worked retail and knowing that clerks aren't always to smart a customer could have told him that they think the price is wrong. The clerk goes to check the price and see that it is, not realize it has a bigger hard drive version and they change the price that the item rings up in the system. I know it sounds like a stretch but ive seen it happen before at my old store. They changed the price in system for all the items and next thing you know people are getting a massive discount till someone smart figures it out.



Ahh retail, it was the worst job I ever had but it paid the bills when I was 15.

- Parasite Eve 3, aka The 3rd Birthday, will be released on the PSP in 2009.
- Kingdom Hearts: Coded will be released in Japan during Winter, 2008.
- Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days will be released during Winter, 2008.
- Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep will be released during 2009.
- FFXIII demo will be included inside FFVII AC: Complete. It will be released on March, 2009.
- Final Fantasy Agito XIII will be released on the PSP.
- Final Fantasy XIII will be released during 2009. In addition, first real-time footage of the game was shown for the first time.
- First ever real-time footage of Versus XIII was shown too.
- Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be released on December, 2008. In addition, potions based on the game have been revealed and according to Japanese blogs Kefka, Exdeath and Golbez will be playable.
- The 14th member of the Organization has been revealed. Her name is Shion (or Xion) and looks like Kairi.

Jesus, Mission 8 Master Ninja on Ninja Gaiden 2's Mission Mode is seriously one of the hardest things I've ever done in a video game. Took me about 6 hours total playtime to beat it, which is "just" one boss fight, but the place where they stick you, the actual boss, and the minions they throw at you makes it extremely hard.

I was having fun up til that point, but it almost ruined MM for me. I'm still going to force myself through the rest of it. Do any of you have this?

I'd love to see the footage myself too, quick googling lead me to nothing. Apparently AC:Complete will contain new footage of Versus and Agito too, but it's not due out til March 09 so hopefully they didn't mean the Versus gameplay footage.

I am aware FF13 will be a worldwide same day release for north america/japan/EU.
