On the GCN wasn't it one good game every 3 or so months? I was willing to wait for 2008 for the PS3, so whatever.

The true tragedy will be that these "hardcore" games will too be dumbed down for the casual masses. I'm look at you Brawl.

All of the games across platforms have been easy and dumb as hell. Brawl is the least of those problems.

W/games do you think feel "next-gen" atm? I don't mean better graphics, smarter AI, more customizable options (because all of that stuff is a given)... I mean things that you never thought possible w/last gen systems. I'm trying to think of a few and... it's hard because the PS3 hasn't been utilized as an independent system yet (most games are multi-platform).

Games that I have played that I would consider next gen would be:
#Star Wars: Force Unleashed: looks promising, the way the demo played was something I never thought I'd be able to do in a video game. Not talking about combo system or fighting. But how you can pretty much use the force as it was imagined in the movies makes me excited for the game.

#MGS4: the way the game played out from beginning to end was just amazing. I am not sure it had a "holy crap next gen" feeling to it, but it was a masterpiece in it's own right. I was very impressed w/how the

Vamp fight played out in the 2nd stage... w/you destroying the Rex's while Raiden fought Vamp split screen style blew my mind. That one part definantly felt next gen to me

LittleBigPlanet will be, GTA4 with it's fucking massive open area exploration (same with FUEL which is supposed to have 5000 square miles of borderless racing). I think Far Cry 2 has the same huge exploration concept. I'm sure there's others that I'm forgetting.

Besides MGS4, I'll go with LBP. I haven't seen a game where one is capable of... basically do all as in LBP.

I don't know about you, but when I hear the words next gen the first thing that comes to my mind is a console. I guess you could say call newer PC games next gen but the generations in PC gaming only tend to last six months.

Second question, can I mute the wiimote speaker or something. It's so annoying in Twillight princess...I can't play late at night, because its going to wake up everyone >_>

Pause the game you're in (by hitting the home button). Select the wii-mote you are currently using in the lower third of the screen. There should be a wii-mote options menu. Click on it and there will be a sound option to turn down or turn off the volume.

I'll buy a wii next year when madworld releases, I really wanna play No more heroes as well, Ive been waiting for a few more good titles for it and its taking forever. New tales of symphonia this nov too.

ToS: Knight of Ratatosk/Dawn of the New World isn't very good from the little bit I played.
The voice work in the Japanese release was pretty damn nice and the game is fairly lengthy (I'm told, I didn't have a lot of hands-on time with it since I don't own it).

The final boss music is also pretty cool, but that's obviously not enough of a reason to spend money on it.
