Exactly... just like the PS3 owners who never played MGS4. I'll probably play LBP eventually, but i'm certainly not hyped for it or even looking forward to its release. I'm far more interested in the rest of the RPGs coming out in the next few months.

The elephant in the LBP room for me is the actual gameplay. I'm all for level creation and sharing, I've loved it for years in the PC world, but the gameplay, while adorable, seems to lack purpose. I haven't seen actual gameplay that seems like it would be a worthwhile thing to play outside of the LBP package, which, to me, sucks. I mean I don't know if they get the platforming of this apparent platformer right.

So, I'm still ambivalent towards LBP.

In SSBB you need other people to get better at it. LBP is a different beast entirely. If SSB or any fighter was just about hanging out it would be dead long before its sequel. The reason the forum sees activity is this, although it is destined to wear off at some point without a continuous flow of new people wanting to get better.

Neither game will feature "future epicness of biblical proportions."

That way they can charge 35 bucks for it along with the same old bull shit nintendo spews into every generation. With that said, I did like the game, it just pisses me off how they release the same old shit every system or handheld and charge large amounts for it.

I agree; but as much as i hate nintendo for screwing this gen I blame SE for this, look at all the ff remake better yet look at the chrono trigger port same shit as the SNES not even a remake with new graphics like ff and i bet its going to be like $40.

At least the Virtual Console games aren't as ridiculously overpriced as a Square handheld port.

Its an absolute shame too, I wish Square hadn't been so successful with ports, because I'd love to see their games on the Virtual Console. I don't entirely understand their reasoning for not doing so either, the Japanese PSN store evidently has Xenogears for $6 motherfucking dollars.

They released alot of game on the JP store that I would love to buy, they are always using the same bs excuse of licensing.

Was Xenogears published by EA in America? I don't remember which games were published under that partnership from back then.

Edit: Looked it up, guess it was. Is that part of their excuse for not releasing it on the NA PSN store?

All the SOny talking heads seem to think that LBP is going to be absolutely huge. I've seen no advertising for the game outside of viral and online marketing. I guess that makes sense for the demograph it's appealing to though. It would seem they could push more titles by doing TV advertising of such a "cute-sy" game and get parents to bite for young kids. I dunno how it'll do, but everyone's opinion on it seems to be black or white. It'll be epic, or it will bomb. Sony seems to think it'll be the best selling game of the year.

MGS4 is GOTY. Only game I could see standing a chance is Fallout 3.
