I own, or could own, any console I feel like...so regardless, as a consumer, I win. Console wars are for children that have to make a choice (or had one made for them by their parents).

Is stage 8 rabid Nintendo fanboyism? =P

I don't think anyone even cares that this was really the only reason the original console wars happened and are all ingrained in our memories. The modern console wars are just fanboys fighting with each other with no particular reason other than being able to say "omg modern console warz"

Kuya, why was the connection layout on the back of the Xbox 360 designed by a fucking retard? It's hooked up to the screen with HDMI cable and now I can't put the stupid shitty Microsoft proprietary A/V cable in because it is RIGHT above the HDMI port, so I am stuck with audio through HDMI coming out of my TV's shitty 2w speakers.

It was designed by those who came before us.

Maybe just how you're running cables? I was running HDMI video + optical audio for a couple years until I got an HDMI-capable receiver. Are you using one of the breakout box style audio ports, like MS includes with their HDMI kit?

I have a HDMI cable and the crappy proprietary cable that comes with the Xbox. What I'm saying is what I usually do like I have for the PS3 is have the video hooked up via HDMI and the audio from the A/V port hooked in to my stereo through RCA connectors. I can't do this on Xbox because they thought it would be a great fucking idea to put the HDMI port right below the proprietary A/V port so I can't have both hooked in at once and just disable the audio from the HDMI through the settings.

You see the bulky part on the A/V cable? That covers the HDMI port

I honestly don't mind most of the shit but this proprietary nickel and diming is getting ridiculous. I've still yet to buy the battery packs for the controller, although I've heard the charger and Eneloop batteries are a better choice so I will probably go with that and get me a Lacrosse charger so I can use it for both 360 and Wii controllers.

Also said fuck that to the wireless adapter and now have a 16ft ethernet cable running from the router to the bedroom for the 360 lol. Don't know if I'll renew live when the 12 month card runs out, unless I find a good deal on years XBL Gold card. Really wish they'd let you pay month to month the equivalent of $50, instead of charging something like $8 per month when you want to go with that option

I like the online on PS3, I haven't had any problems with it. But I do wish they would make the in-game XMB more responsive or totally change it. The amount of stuff you can do from the in-game menu on the 360 is neat, the MSN messenger, the universal music player and all that shit and it doesn't lag (at least it hasn't for me). The in-game XMB on the PS3 can be laggy depending on the game, and I can understand why they went with the XMB layout, as it is familiar to people. But they need to cut it down a bit to make it load faster, most of the stuff on the in-game XMB you have to quit out of the game to use anyway.

Yeah, I've never had any issues with the PSN's online features, but I have to admit the XMB needs some serious work. It has next to zero functionality when you're actually in a game (unless you're accessing it to check trophies/friends list/quit game) and even then it lags like hell most of the time.

In a recent http://www.sonyinsider.com/2010/01/1...ectronics-usa/, COO and President of Sony Electronics USA Stan Glasgow revealed that Bravia Internet Video Link is coming to the PS3 entertainment system.

The free HD Internet video streaming service gives users content from providers such as YouTube, AOL LLC, Yahoo Inc, Amazon, Netflix and more.

Although no specific details are available about it at the moment, Glasgow did confirm that the PlayStation 3 will get support for the Bravia Internet Video Link service in addition to other video streaming services in the near future.

To quote: "There's no indication if this will or won't make its way beyond the US border but we can always hope.

More streaming video services would definitely be welcome on the PS3, but assuming you can view this website you can probably do everything this will promise to do but on your PC."
