He's just mayad nobody voted for his Legends 3 design. Good for him though, it was very clear he hated his job at Capcom nowadays. Hopefully he'll set up a company of his own and go back to doing what he loves.

Most the stickies in this forum are useless and take up a lot of space. The whole stickies section should be revamped.

1) All the ingame name threads are basically inactive, out of date, and collectively make a big mess. Making new threads would be pointless because it wouldn't fix any problems. We should reconsider how we list these things. How about one thread where everyone only makes one post and they cleanly list all of their user names for online services, individual games, MMOs, etc. Maybe even other forum names. The method to use the thread would be to use the search function to find posts made by that one poster.

2) One thread for steam deals and one thread for other gaming deals is stupid.

3) This thread, console wars, has no real purpose. There is maybe one console war argument a season or two. Should be closed and remade as General Gaming News thread. A thread where people can post tidbits of news which may not be successful as threads. This is how the thread is being used now(with maybe a small leaning on the "dirt on companies" side).

4) We don't need a sticky telling people we have "gaming post icons". If you are too dumb to notice them, you are too dumb to use them. (Actually you are probably very smart if you don't use them...)

5) DnD Official Game? Drop that. In fact an easy solution to Tabletop gaming would be to make one sticky for card games and one sticky for RPGs and wargames(tabletop games). Boardgames are never discussed here, but can deserve its own thread. However given that it is never discussed you can either lump it in with card games or the latter group. If Magic the Gathering(or Yugioh) has a large enough following it just let it have its own thread outside of it. Same could be said for Dungeon and Dragons, though that is certainly not the case as far I can see.

6) Maybe consider something with Fighting games. SSFIV thread seems off-topic about half the time and is probably not the best place to discuss tournaments which feature more than that game. Its activity has basically trounced the unnecessary Starcraft sub-section.

Now get off your asses and do something.


Other musings:

If a thread has more than 20-30+ pages before its release... it should get a new thread for its release, with a OP that has all introductory information you'd need.

EDIT: On the off chance an admin actually reads this - is it possible to make a subforum where everyone has the ability to edit posts(mod powers)? That's how you make a BG Wiki. It would be within the forum. Considering that both Eozeapedia and FFXIVCore still suck dick there is still a chance to usurp the title if that is what you want.

I actually keep up with the gaming/console deals thread versus the steam deals thread. I find them useful and because of it i got some great games for really cheap and i hope they stay, although i do agree about the other stuff.

Oh i know, but i guess i should've gone into why i like them. Sometimes things can get overlooked if it gets posted in the games thread when it is a steam deal, this matters to me because i don't normally buy physical copies of games because i am at a college in the middle of nowhere. So when i go into the steam thread i know what it is im looking at and it may prompt me to go look at the actual steam store which is fairly cluttered.

I think my point is, i like the separation between steam and others since i am more often than not looking for steam deals only because of my circumstances.

I definitely agree that Console Wars is totally unnecessary and I really wish there was a general gaming news thread. I wanted to tell people to go try the Majin demo but I didn't want to make a whole new thread just for Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom

I agree with this. There's so much good and informative stuff scattered around the standard & 'advanced' XIV sections that will never make it to either wiki and only ZAM has any slight chance of testing out shit in a proper way and actually adding that info in their database, which I still doubt. They're too busy looking for synthesis direction patterns.

I think it would be nice to be able to list your PSN, XBL, and Steam IDs in the area that shows your join date, location, and MMO servers.
