That would be brilliant if they did that. That would be such a better deal than the "Elite" 360. And I think it would definitely help to put them back into the driver seat.

lol
I dunno if it will make it here though.
Once MGS/FF/HS are out, the PS3 will be under $500.Originally Posted by Exoduso
doubtful, as its likely to stay $600 for 3 or so years.
PS3 has a killer game lineup looming, once the big guns hit like exo mentioned they won't need a price drop, even though it could possibly occur.
I think he was making a joke about the inevitable game delays, lol.Originally Posted by izembo

I don't think the value of the system is whats holding people back, just that they don't want to spend $600 on a console, period. You're getting your moneys worth, but I'd rather spend the money elsewhere (right now anyway).
MGS4 will need to be really good to make me spend like $700 just to play it. People tend to forget that while MGS and MGS3 owned, MGS2 was so full of itself storywise that I just about quit the game halfway through. I really want a story grounded in reality, believeable sci-fi and not just random tangents.
true, but even that would be longer than they will![]()
I may be one of few, but I always loved MGS2, sure it threw me for a loop when the whole Raiden thing happened, but there are some of the most badass scenes in the history of gaming in that game at the end.
And if you bought a 360 HD-DVD player and wireless network and all this stuff on the PS3 that is on the 360, then the Premium 360 is still a better value. I saw some article on it, and it was like 10 dollars cheaper. Not that it matters to me because I could care less about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. That is what I like about 360, they give you the choice and don't force that extra 200 dollars in hardware on you. With that said, if the PS3 drops to 500 I'll be on it like a fat kid on a doughnut for MKII alone![]()
that was including having to buy a 3rd party hdd to make the ps3 have same hdd size as the new 360 otherwise ps3 would be cheaper.
You could say a lot of "take out or put in x, y, z and x or y would be cheaper".
Again, the best thing MS has going for it is the matter of choice.
They made it a matter of choice so that they could charge insane amounts for their add on products.
A PS3 supporter going the direction of price to justify their system is a losing proposition by nature my friend.
I am wanting to buy a PS3, but that price tag is a little much to bear. A 360 owner can get in the door for $300, and then choose to pay the exorbitant prices for the add-ons. Really the only over-priced one is the wireless adapter, which is obscene I agree at 100 bucks. All the others are standard. And again when you add everything up apples to apples, 360 comes out cheaper.
either way, which has the games you want? buy that one. it's just an expensive paperweight otherwise.

IGN has a image compression habbit. The vids from this sight are much cleaner. The developer walkthrough videos are later versions of the game also, and way better to see. 3 dev videos + the music of lair video. The videos load just as fast as youtube on quicktime standard def selection.

Um... which one are you saying is better? They look pretty identical to me.. I went back and forth a couple times looking at Ryu and there is hardly a difference...Originally Posted by Ploid

Either way that game is fucking gorgeous, I might have to get a PS3 for one. I love playing it on Xbox 1.. but yea, damn.
slight difference if you open each in a window and tab between them, barely noticeable
You can see more detail in the Gamespot one and it's more cleaner. Ign's show jaggies on the edge of everything, even the ground. They recieved the exact same picture and yet they look different. This isn't the only game ign does this with. They compress the pictures to save space on their sight for all the ads and crap I guess.
Ok I did a quick cut up image to show how different they are on the same image. Surprised you guys think it's not much different. Click on it to get the full view.

3rd picture down, quote for the lazyInteresting. They also talk about the game using a sped-up version of ATB, how they don't have a projected release date yet, considering using PS3's online functions(omg yes plz) among other things.Originally Posted by Toriyama

If they turn FF13 into another online game i'm not buying it.
