He's just trying to make a point, which you can infer from the simple sentence.

Most people would stop reading if you write "If you're in the water, and you hold your breath, then you pass out, and then you drown."

But that's ok, i'm sure you were just joking and trying to make yourself look stupid.

In any case I still have yet to see any info about the next version update released by SE that would make me want to pay for another month of bullshit

That's real interesting Xavier, cuz I'm prety sure the people who bitch about every update and believe nothing will change are more likely to threaten quitting.
    Have fun next month.

People who believe nothing will change generally don't have high hopes for each patch.

Considering I'm specifically talking about naive people who hype each patch and then complain time and again, I don't think you're talking about the same group.

I will have fun next month, thanks.

So yea, I've complained about patches profusely after hyping it....yea....
Hi, I've never met or talked to you before. Glad you suddenly know everything I've ever thought or said.

By definition, optimism is believing things are inherently good.
Meaning something can be decent at the core and can only be made bad.
That fact that you're even presenting the front that you still play this game would suggest you believe the same, on some level.
If you had said there was a fine line between optimism and idealism, that would have made more sense.
I am idealistic, but I still work within reality, and positive reinforcement is at least productive, what are you contributing here?
If you have an idea, put one in the suggestion topic.
If you already have, you believe change is possible, and if that’s the case, what are you bitching about?
I made one line in a silly manner and you shit on it.

Be consistent or get in the flux pool.

The irony that you probably don't even realize I'm a pearlsack to BG and an admin on the forums, lol.

I don't see a reason to contribute positive reinforcement to a situation that isn't changing. What are we, 5 years old?

I like how you're personally taking offense when I'm taking a shot at an entire group of people, not specifically you. The fact that your comment sparked my reaction is largely insignificant to what I'm saying on the whole.

I'm playing the game for the community, not the gameplay.

And no, delusion applies here, but thanks for defining optimism. Delusion is the state of being deluded, in turn meaning to deceive your mind. Unwavering optimisim is a fancy way of saying deluded, but again, thanks.

And, back to the original point, people who continually act as if each patch is the patch that will save the game, and end up being disappointed over and over, should really accept reality.

sadly, this is what has been keeping everyone paying the monthly fee for years now. The game itself is just so shitty that it's not worth logging on for it anymore.

    You quoted, not bolded, silly.

EDIT: Personally, I like the game, its community, and its world.

The last thing SE needs to be told to do something by people who have already quit or don't even enjoy the game anymore. If the fire is gone, leave already, it won't be the same no matter what they do.

People who like the game should be talking to SE on how they want their game, not people using it as a chatroom.

God I wish we had thought of that a few years ago!

And I'm pretty sure that anyone paying for the game, has a right to comment on it. Such a double standard if you're saying you're allowed to bitch but other people aren't. I'm not saying anything about my own views here, just that its funny for you to say anyone who disagrees with you should shut up.

Did you start playing like a year ago? The FIRST thing SE needs to be told is to do something from people who have already quit/don't enjoy the game anymore so everyone else who is currently enjoying the game don't quit when they reach that point, and trust me when I say it doesn't take long.

If people liked the game like you claim they do, they would have no reason to talk to SE. SE has made almost no attempt to hear out what the community wants or interact with it on a personal level. If they did, the game would have taken a much different approach a long ass time ago. The last time they attempted to do anything right, they fucked up big time on my book and I'm sure a lot of people can agree with it (bst).

Oh, I'm sorry mazza, I'll shine them shoes while doin' a dance fo'ya!
D'z nutz, puta. You ban my ass if you want.

It should be a game first and a chat room dead-last, if your ties to your friends are so tenuous that you need to play a game (that you're paying for) to be with them, they aren't worth being around.
mIRC, AIM, MSNM, etc. If you don't have that, then you're just not trying.

You calling me deluded is an attempt to make your differing opinion carry more weight than it actually does.
    You think I'm wrong.
Say that like a man and don't make an infantile attempt to undermine my mental state.

This next patch is not going to save this game, nothing close, and I made no indication of it doing so.
I simply said that I expect something better than what we've seen.
Idealistic? Yes, because precedent and probability goes against it.
Delusional? No, because it is possible (though not as probable.)
You have a bone to pick, you felt like airing out your grievances, but you wanted an excuse to start talking, so you over-inflated the first little comment you saw.
I saw that as a bitch move, so I called bullshit.
Real men say what they want without needing to use someone to harsh on as a jumping point.

If you’ve given up on this game, go to WoW BG like everyone else who did.
Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that, having the patience for SE is asking a lot.
However, you should at least have the balls to just go over there and not try to rationalize your displeasure into something other than it is: You are no longer entertained by this game.
People grow out of things, things stop being as good as they were, but real maturity is learning how to deal with it gracefully.

Who cares if it saves the game anyway?
I just think I might enjoy it, who gives a fuck if people stay?
As long as the game gets even a little better for me, screw everyone else.

Edit: Do you think the people who left can really be appeased by anything?
You have a point though, people who enjoy the core game, but dislike certain aspects may still have valid input.
However, people who don't even have that anymore aren't worth listening to.

Point: If you have any real input, This is the wrong topic.
If you do not, this is angst ridden venting, and that is more childish than hoping for something that may never come.
