Your an idiot for not knowing what your talking about. You cant really compare anything to WoW unless youve played it. Go ahead and compare ffxi and eq is fine, since you have knowledge of those things. But talking about things you dont know about just makes you look dumb.

Does sitting next to a 70 Priest at work count? Maxnelin, on Mediveh. So believe me, I get an earful on PoM nerfs and threat reduction nerfs for shadow priests and Paladin hatefests, etc. etc. We sit here for lulz at work reading the blue name tracker for the WoW forums.

And besides, my main interest here is in progression and how too much the wrong way will damage FFXI. That I think it'll screw up WoW later is secondary.

After reading about all 29 pages of this "Heated" discussion, I don't see how he justified being banned. He didn't start any fights. If you say smart remarks to people, and they say smart remarks back at you, you have no right to be upset. That is = to walking up to someone slapping them in the face, and then going "how dare you slap me back??" then trying to get them arrested.

While It seems his sig was removed, I can't comment on how ugly it was, but even still. If someone has an Ugly sig, who is anyone else to make a big deal about it?? In a forum, making attacks about someone whether it be spelling, typos, the way the type, or ugly avatars it contributes nothing to the conversation. And if you do attack those things, then 8/10 you can expect a not so nice reply.

And as moderators, or admins, you're supposed to show a level of "class" above everyone else. And if someone is using the shift key in a manner you do not like, then ask them politely to cut it out. Send a email, use the messaging service on here. But you can't ecpect people to be nice, if you try to make a public spectacle of them.

Reading over the other top 6 or so topics in the section, it seems he had an ugly avatar. And then someone says "yo, you sig is ugly as hell, youre stupid" and then he says "I don't care what you think" who is the one at fault, who is the one in the wrong? Sounds to me like the guy who was childish enough to make such a silly comment in the first place. That would be trying to seek attention to me, or trying to sound witty or clever at the expense of someone else. No one forced that person to make the comment, and you can't blame the person with the ugly sig when the argument spins out of control.

Having admins or moderators who pick fights with people, and then ban that person for not bending over and taking your insults is not good moral for any "Advanced player" forum.
