Or they could have released non-broken content on the timeline and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Broken or not, not releasing anything is FAR worse.Originally Posted by ringthree

what on the timeline exactly is not being released?Originally Posted by skurlover

it was a projected development timeline, not a moneyback guarantee deadline.
get a job and than go shoot some weathermen or Mel Kiper Jr. and other people who do mock drafts for a living.
The Colloseum I think. I don't hold the broken timeline against them lol, I don't think I've ever worked for a software company that delivered something when they promised.Originally Posted by layoneil
I didn't force them to make a timeline, or to announce the content a year in advance.Originally Posted by ringthree
That, and I think the original timeline had all of the jobs having gotten adjustments by now.The Colloseum
I'm not saying I expected the timeline to be followed or that its even realistic, just that they shouldn't do it in the future. Giving players those kind of expectations isn't really a good idea. I think they should've just announced the content in development but left it opened ended for a release date.
What a novel idea, ever heard of a lunch break?Originally Posted by layoneil
You claim to want to know what they are doing and when we will get it, then you say they shouldn't do that. Dude, you are schizophrenic, lol. You are complaining from both sides.Originally Posted by Xavier
They even said when they released the time line that it was not date accurate, it was a hopeful general guideline. I think you may be the only one that thinks it is Iron Law.
Thats a pretty serious thing to say about someone, but whatever. I don't think I ever claimed to want to know what they are doing, just if they feel like telling me, to try and be as accurate as possible. I'm just saying that giving deadlines to things is stupid because if you don't meet them, the fanbase gets upset.Originally Posted by ringthree

Anyone else ever think he gives that pose to the computer each time right before he hits the enter button? It scares the shit out of me...
They gave a 2-3 month window, its quite a large deadline but I still think if you say "Such and such can be expected between September and December" and its not out by March, that the chart was misleading.Originally Posted by layoneil
Again, I didn't expect it to be accurate, just that I wish they had simply listed everything in an order of progression and not given months.

My only point is that if you never say "expect chocobo racing by XX date", and instead just say "We're working on Chocobo racing, we hope you guys love it, it'll be out when its done", you wouldn't have to deal with announcing it was delayed and delayed and delayed.
se would never do thatOriginally Posted by ringthree

According to the time line the chocobo circuit is very behind, everything else though is bracketed together for implementation any time from December and after. So technically as long as they release the remaining content anytime after that it's still following the time line.

Why would they even say 'Southern San d'Oria'? So i doubt it's betting counters...
Why whine about the timeline in the first place when we should be whining about why we're waiting for access to shit we paid for last August?
On the Chocobo Circuit, a zone connecting all the major cities just seems to good to be true. I really hope your right though.
Well, there you go lol It does like something like a transporter.http://www.ffxi-atlas.com/maps/chocobo-circuit/general/

I think that most likely you will be restricted to only exiting to the city you entered from. The point is to access the circuit from any city, not to be a fast mode of transportation.
