Maybe this could be an easier way to change your name then go through lots of canceling IDs and such.
1. Make char on random server.
2. Make new character name the same as your main.
3. Migrate your main to that server.
4. Change its name.
5. Move back

I know thats not going to happen, but it would be nice. I hate my name so much.

I think that if people want to switch servers, they need to have a certain amount of people, lets say 5, from the server they want to switch to, sponsor them.

If not, then no dice.

Great, now we can all crowd up Bahamut, Fairy, Asura and Remora.

Remora isn't that crowded, endgame-wise. 4 shells camp ground, 2 fight tiamat and khimaira. Economy has really sobered up too.

if they make it so you can change server whenever and how often you want i can see the following happen

4 or 5 server will be rmt onry, they just send one or two chars a month to the different server to sell the items, nobody will like to compete against them so they will have a very nice time on their own server

another 6-8 server will become jp onry, 1-2 german, 1-2 french, 1-2 spanish, rest english and mixed

They probably realized that people are going to take advantage and try to move to servers where prices are higher. I.E > Pandemonium's Hauby goes for around 800k, while Bahamut's goes for around 1.4M. As someone mentioned earlier, they'll probably only allow it every 6th month or something? But in a way, they could still make a shit load of money then go back after those 6 months..

Fairy's a fucking joke though safer, that's the only (and honestly the best) reason to stay, you can't go a day without laughing your ass off about something stupid as fuck.

Kujata is like one of those old, white folks neighborhood, where random and stupid shit happens once a month, at best. We enjoy a time of tranquility and harbor no ill will to douchebags, partly because we don't have as many as other servers.

I predict siren would get an influx of people mainly cause of it's hardcore ballista scene, and the fact their's not much of an NA HNM presence at the time (TMO is going through leadership changes, and IN mass exodus'ed to WoW), theirs a few lesser shells out there jockying for position, but right now it's anyone's ballgame.
