Well, hi... I have an odd and mildly embarassing question directed to the members of this linkshell. Erm... maybe the leaders of the linkshell? I didn't find any place else better suited to ask... but does your linkshell recruit? If so, where and how?

Of course that doesn't end the question. What's better to ask would be... would your linkshell recruit a level one character? The obvious answer would of course be a laugh in my face and a pretty straight forward 'no'... but the reason I ask is I often feel very limited and tired of playing on my own server.

I've done quite well for myself but often find myself wanting more. It seems sometimes like no linkshell on our server is really that great at anything anymore. Sure there are linkshells that have done sky... who hasn't? They've done the wyrms... old news, isn't it? They beat Dynamis Lord... that isn't really much of an accomplishment anymore, is it? The three kings have fallen more than a parapalegic trying to walk. ToA HNM's seem to have taken less than a week to perfect. The NM's in sea have been left to rot in the sun on the beaches. About the only thing that seems to still be difficult at all is AV. No NA LS on my server has ever even tried it though... I only know of one that ever even did Love, and that was once.

I have also grown very weary of seeing the same unimaginative job setups and the same boring strategies for every battle. Nothing is unique on my server, everyone must have this main job and this sub job to do anything. The best example I can give is with every tank subbing warrior... I know its good and I know it has its reasons for being used, but I've seen the capabilities of other subs, I know there is more variety capable and being unused. It just seems to me like this linkshells seems to accomplish more, not just repeat everything a hundred times so they can win the claim and brag about 'leet skillz'.

So, in summary, my question would basically be, if I made a character on Bahamut server, would it be possible to be admitted into the linkshell before I'm even close to high enough to do any end game activity?

I'm not in BG, but I can tell you with 100% certainty the answer to this particular question is no.

Actually I was just being an ass. BG isn't on Ramuh, thats why the answer was 100% no.

I'd guess they'd say no anyway, not too many end game LSs would want to spend the time gearing someone up from level 1.

Wow... thank you for pointing out my error... and I wouldn't expect to be geared from level 1, I'd work to 75 on my own, probably pick my first job as something that isn't overly difficult to gear efficiently. I'll change the server name.

Check recent "upcoming changes" info, particularly regarding the ability to change servers.

EDIT: Although I should add that they'd still probably say no, I don't doubt that a crapton of people will "apply" to BG from their server and try to jump over and get in. >.>

Generally requirements include; and are not limited to:

2x 75 JOB
Dynamis Xarcabard Access
Sky Access
Sea Access
Capable gear for your jobs
Merits in your main job

Bonus: Crafts/OP


LVL 1 job would not be accepted simply because you wouldn't have 'any' of the above. Nor would you be able to demonstrate that you could competantly play your jobs.

I'm going to nazi lock this, but Popeh outlined a very basic guideline above. If anyone else is interested in joining (and is on Bahamut) the better course of action would be to talk to a sackholder in game or PM them on the forums >_> [Xavier, layoneil, Sonomaa, Nikkei, Senkhi, I don't think there's any others unless they're hiding them in their basement]

Also people, I know you're excited about the World Shift thing, but don't PM me (or anyone else for that matter) asking if your character on another server can get an application <_< I would suggest at the very least waiting until << Welcome to Bahamut! >> to appear.
