GW was how I got my gf into FFXI. She enjoyed it at first because it was free, and then I got her a ffxi account, it works.Originally Posted by Maguspk
I think the most important thing to realize is that most girls who will even pick up a video game are going to have different tastes and not all like the same thing (stupid old school marketing thinking, "OMG let's make girl orientated games, they need games JUST for them that they will all undoubtably love). I admit, the Wii's multiplayer is absolutely great (VC wouldn't be too bad either for old-school stuff), but there's a lot of different games out there, introduce her to a few of the best titles of every genre, I'd be surprised at someone who didn't like anything at all. Warioware, Tetris, SSBM, Okami, GoW, Fable, Mario stuff, Guitar Hero, ect...there's a lot of fun stuff to try, surely she'd like something if she was worth your time?
Manhunt. That'll win her over.
I think that'd make it hard for her to concentrate on the game, but go for it.Originally Posted by Vedder
In all seriousness, I'd probably start her on....Super Mario RPG. Wii has backwards compatibility for that, right? Let's pretend it does. Although help her with those Hammer Bros. in the beginning; those guys are tough!
After that, Final Fantasy VII, or any other game with a storyline that can make her appreciate that games can be taken seriously.
i won't want to breed a fangirl with ff7
step 1: move out with her
step 2: realize you cant afford entertainment
step 3: FFXI
It's been announced, so it will be coming out, but I'm not sure when. *Usually* titles that have been announced come out no later than a month or two after. I am eagerly waiting for it too, gonna smash up those Axem Rangers again (I loved that boss fight :D)Originally Posted by Valiere
Don't nick the ONE house copy of FF12 the day it comes out, blast 9 hours ahead of her then grin like a smug git and talk over all the cutscenes when she finally gets use of the PS2 for a while!
