I've had dreams replay before. Like, I'll have a dream about something (imagine a giant tower that gets attacked by the first boss in Shadow of the Colossus) and then randomly a year later I'll have the exact same dream. Sometimes it's cool that it'll jog my memory of a kickass dream like the tower and Colossus one but other times it sucks ass and I'll replay a nightmare. My nightmares are pretty fucked up and I realllllllly don't like them lol.

Afew nights ago I had a dream about taking a rowing boat too some island... About 3/4 of the way the boat gets a really big leak and I have to swim to the closest island. The fear of being eaten by a shark was so real... the panic of just hitting the water sent shivers down my spine.

When I reached the island all I can remember was following the side until I saw something that looked like a signal fire... so I ran towards it to find in my disbelief a bunch of normal dressed people dancing and drinking around the fire.... it was strange as hell.

Next min from the shore something huge started to emerge from the sea... Everyone started to panic except two really odd ball looking couple... both of them were wearing some weird gems around there necks.

When the huge monster from the water dropped back into the sea I was in complete awe... but about 1 minute later all you saw was a huge tidal wave rising up over the island as if it was alive, as if it was some sort of puppet. Also behind the tidal wave a large figure was becoming larger and darker as if it was flying though the water, heading towards the island....

all I saw before I woke up was the odd couple holding the gems towards the wave and hearing a huge splash and feeling water hitting my side and face....

Crazy ass dream I would say... its strange... because I havent dream't (remembered) in about 4 years now. Too have such a strong dream like that was overwhelming.

Sorry if that bored anyone but yea... just thought id throw in my 2 cents.

I've had alot of "Deja vu" dreams, and it really freaks me out. Really scary sometimes when your on the bus, And you see someone you saw in a dream, but have no relation to them at all.

I have these, weird thing is I dream something week before, and it happens, I get a wtf thinking, I then finish the other persons sentence and go all light headed. Freaks me out every god-damn time.

I get that a good bit actually, and it freaks me out more than the person i do it to. Its just really akward, you dream it and actually remember the dream (i dont remember most of my dreams) and then a few days to a month or so later it happens.

Am I the only one who has those 'night terrors'? I rarely remember my normal dreams anymore, but several times a week I'll have a 'nightmare' that I of course realize is a nightmare, and I 'wake up' into sleep paralysis where i know i just had a nightmare, i know that what i'm seeing isn't real--yet it's in my room wherever that might be.. and i struggle to wake myself up.

At which point i just go back to sleep again. Sometimes it wont happen for months, then it'll start happening every other night. It's really fucking annoying. I also can't sleep on my back because that's a guaranteed nightmare/terror/paralysis situation. =\

I get the de ja vu dreams as well, but usually it occurs a month or two later.

it happened to me once, i had this weird dream when i was like 7-8 and like 8-9 years later i had the EXACT same dream i had before. soooooo weird

I think it's pretty common for the emotions you feel in a dream to carry over for at least a little bit when you wake up. This certainly applies when the dreams have to do with realistic situations I think. I remember once dreaming that my boyfriend was sleeping with other women in front of me and I woke up and wanted to kill him. I woke him up and was like: Never sleep with anyone else in my dreams ever again! Obviously it ended up being pretty funny in the end but for about 1-2 minutes after I woke up I really did feel this intense burning anger at what happened in my dream.

Also, yes I've had recurring dreams.

I've also had progressive dreams where every time I dream, the dream changes just a bit..

When I was 10ish or so I would dream that I was being chased by wolves down my driveway to my door. I had this dream MANY times and sometimes it would just end before I would reach the door. Eventually it would progress so that I would reach the door and even close it behind me but I was still afraid. The last time I had the dream I stopped trying to reach the door, turned to face them and they stopped and just walked away.

Perhaps one of the funniest things I've ever dreampt.. I had a dream that was like a movie only for the end credits everything had my name after it.

I have recurring dreams about my past lives. It's not funny to wake up feeling like you're drowning -_-;


And yeah, I dream in both colour and black and white (Only dreamt once in black and white, so not sure if it counts).

The dreams I have are kinda brownish, like them old time picks you'd see of old people. And yea I've had continuing dreams, even sometimes dreams that continue from daydreams O.O. Freaky stuff.

haha, i had this dream once where I and everyone else had jedi powers (minus the lightsabers) and we all had to run somewhere (like thousands of people mind you) and we all kicked in the force speed and ran, then it changed into a force push contest between me and someone else.

i woke up mid contest with my hand in the air like i was in the dream, i laughed at myself then i fell back asleep lol

My dreams are always really bright colors exaggerated sizes, big, exciting stuff. Only problem is my dreams come and go in streaks...

One week I'll dream 3 days in a row, then I won't remember another dream for 3 months.

Only about half my dreams that I remember are original, over half are reoccurring/progressing dreams, or I guess falling/waking up preparing for a fall would also go in this category which happens quite a bit.

I'm kinda envious of people that dream on a regular ocassion. I for one really enjoy mine.

My most notable reoccurring dream is to a Nine inch nails theme. I'm driving in my car listening to the fragile way too loud, and it does something to my head. My head will start vibrating and shaking to the sound, and it'll generally wake me up, and I'll feel as if the shaking actually occurred in my head. Generally get a minor headache after that one...

From my understanding, people have several dreams throughout the course of their sleep. You just don't remember them all, the ones you do remember are the ones you're having closest to waking up.

Ya I wake up all the time thinking a dream really just happened, then I realize it didn't and all the emotions attached to it fall away. Fascinating really.

I have yet to have any kick ass dreams though. My dreams are all emotional bullshit like me getting back together with old girlfriends and really enjoying my life, then waking up to realize it was fake and crying a little.

Do a lot of people have dreams of dying? I hear people say this all the time and yet I have never had a dream of myself dying. Mind you I haven't had a nightmare since I was 6 years old and I can still remember every detail about it.

Also does anyone else have recurring dreams that actually continue a story each time you have them? I actually have dreams where the story continues from where I left off the previous dream and sometimes if I wake up in the middle of a dream I can go back to sleep and pick up where I left off. Definately don't think that is normal.

I've also not had a nightmare since I was very little, and I too remember every single detail about it. Only had a few falling dreams too but I always wake up before I land.

To the OP: That happens to me sometimes too. Usually when I have stress or a doubt about something IRL, it'll reflect into my dreams. I'll dream about a situation (like a boyfriend will cheat on me or something for example) and I'll wake up, and I'll feel like it really happened and it will seriously affect my mood for a short period of time. Are you stressed out about something? Cause it's likely you're just feeling emotional from something that is being amplified by dreaming about it. I hate that feeling :/
