(I hope this is in the right section) Before I go into this, this is on behalf of a friend of mine who could not register and login on the forums for some reason. So I will copy and paste what he wanted me to say on msn:
Gryan says:
Hello, I am an old player who gave up his account to a random person a while back. I played for 2.5 years or so. The person who was in control of my account seems to have quit a bit ago, and I got an email from SE saying I need to re-activate my account etc.
Now, I know this might go against some of your morals.. but it might also prove to be humorous if I can somehow winnuk my account back from SE's greedy clutches. If anyone else has been in this sort of situation, what would the recommended course of action be? What should I tell SE on the phone?
I will say once more, the guy who had my account for a while did not change his POL email or whatever. I still have all my POL ID, registration codes, the old credit card etc. etc. plus an email from them as of a few days ago.
Thanks.
Note: This character is still under the credit card of the other person, but everything else I have.
This is the e-mail that SE sent to me:
Dear PlayOnline member: This is your second notice that you owe a pending balance for PlayOnline services. It consists of Content ID fees for FINAL FANTASY XI and/or Tetra Master and is now over two months past due. In order to pay this balance, log into PlayOnline and follow the on-screen instructions. Please note that this is your last chance to submit your payment online! Also, be aware that leaving your balance unpaid could jeopardize your credit rating.
IMPORTANT!!! Your PlayOnline account will be terminated soon if you leave your balance unpaid. If you wish to use PlayOnline services again after that, you will need to purchase new software from a retail store and register a new PlayOnline account.
