It's embarrassing for anyone here to accept this--the "well, atleast we got something right?!" attitude is horrible.Typo aside, quit then. I hear WOW developers spend all kinds of time chatting on forums with their playerbase. Honestly, this is far more than I had expected, and hope that this is the begining of SE being willing to talk with us at all.
EDIT: SE doesn't owe us shit. If you think you deserve to have your questions answered, you're delusional. The fact that they have decided it's in their interests as a company to do so at all is a damn good start.
It's not just WoW, it's nearly any game developer over the last decade or more. Back from the days of john carmack and id developers posting updates, in that whole boom, to today's wow and others.
People shouldn't stop complaining when there are problems until they are addressed, that's their right as paying consumers. Take that 'just quit' attitude back to alla.
I'd think a huge team would have an easier time having someone more available for community relations. There are 6 developers working on FFXI, it's not like it's some huge team that doesn't have time to deal with their players.
Out of all the bullshit they spewed in this interview that last little section about crafting pushed me over the edge. "Hehe, we know something you don't know! Nah nah nah!Originally Posted by bercus

/sigh.....thanks for trying Bercus
God damn you sure got your point across with that slick auto-trans message.
38% Crunk
and
100% Auto-translating on the forums
Isn't that why everyone starts an account? To make a post with an auto-translated message in it?Originally Posted by Epical

Theres no fucking way SE will ever release all the variables for crafting. It'll completely trash everything. I'd rather SE keep its mouth shut on this topic.Originally Posted by dragoryte
Why they don't just say then, "Releasing this information would cause a sudden HQ boom and subsequent economy crash. As you can see from our recent STFU actions, we care about protecting a reasonably healthy economy. Therefore, we cannot release this information, now or ever."
They even get to say STFU!
hey, I know the reason the answers were so shitty, it's because we aren't a premier site!

STOP THINKING AND DO IT.
BG would seriously turn into Alla if it became a premier site. :(
Not gonna post a new topic since the update will get its own topic tomorrow, but download sizes have been released for the update. I don't remember updates being this large before.

Let me get this straight. We are told that highly desired items will have new ways to be obtained, they're still planning changes to Ullikummi, sea pop item fixes are in the works, virtue stones will be quiverable, BST has some enhancements coming, along with a few other morsels, and people are complaining about the answers? The only problem I can see out of the deal was that there were a couple of misunderstood questions and they took way too long to answer them. What kind of answers would have made everyone happy, short of disclosing update details a few months in advance?
