New Mercenary Ranks and Assault Missions (03/07/2007)

Golden Salvage was stupid when it was doable with pets or flee and is worse now. IIRC the mimics in SW appolyon wernt as easy to exploit so its not like its hard for SE to fix it.

Sure worms is easy, excavation duty is easy, and a bunch of other higher tier assaults are easy to trio but none of them can be done solo on any job at any level with 2 alts or friends mules or whatevers afk at entrance.

Without the bug it is possible to win the thing on the first chest you see. -_-
So it was already designed to be able to be beaten by luck in a short period of time with the bare minimum of effort.

Since the luck element is so intrinsic to the mission, it's just as possible for someone using the exploit to search every box until they come to the very last one.
That might take too long solo, but my point is Golden Salvage was designed to be simple, it is not the community's fault for recognizing that.

In case anyone was under the impression they would need to spam assaults after update to get to the next level ASAP, if you are currently SM and have been doing assaults you should be able to rank up right away to the next level. As far as I understand it, anyway.

Nail on the head. There's going to be a large group of people who only need the quest to be added before they're the newest rank. I'm halfway there myself at least, and I've only concerned myself with a fair routine of runs for salvage points.

Removing the ability to rank up by repeating missions would just be locking the content away from some more casual players I know personally. Sad as it is, not everyone has an assault static.

Isn't this going to be the second Assault mission concerning the Far East in Leujaom Sanctum?

Also, I think this pretty much confirms that Nyzul Isle has one "mission" is more of an expedition like Salvage missions. Wouldn't be surprised if its "mission" doesn't even appear on any mission or quest log.

I agree with you guys completely dont get me wrong... but the devils advocate side of me says this....

If people kill tons of EP at 15-20 xp per kill does that make them any less "worthy" of getting a level up then the person who gets 200 per kill?

If people wanna spend a month doing 1 run every day, is that any less work then someone who does 5 days of work and ranks up?
