Wouldn't be the first time they screwed with storyline. Go back and do rank missions after finishing Zilart and Apocalypse Nigh. Though that wasn't a targetable NPC, so my point is pointless there. =p

Fine, she dies and returns to the Mothercrystal, and Abqahbah puts a Naja mannequin in her place, and you have to go to to Promyvion with a clone of her and rescue her soul which was being devoured by the Emptiness, and you fight Empty-Naja. =O If you tried to talk to the Naja Mannequin, it would just go "...".

Wow, that almost sounds fun. Except for that part about going to Promyvion. And it'd have to be a new Promyvion since they don't want to send us back to the Middlelands for whatever reason.

this game relies heavily on deus ex machina (ie. SE has designed this game, so they can put something wherever they want to, to make things make sense)

what i really wish theyd do is put Mercenary Rank next to Players names in /sea like nation rank. Unlike Nation rank, Merc rank would actually be worth searching against often when trying to build an assault party (hi2u lazy ls all stuck at tier3 besides me and one other guy) and easily shows whos on the ToAU tip and who isnt.

I also think Merc rank will eventually be required for something bombtastic, like entrance to the new endgame area. If that happens, expect people to be shouting to rank up all the time, and wanting to do new ones as much as possible, which would be GREAT. There could also be really l33t gear added to buy with IS points to motivate people, but at the rate the IS cost has been scaling up...whatever it is will cost a TON of IS.

and my main puzzlement is....why dont people want to do the higher tier assaults and rank up just to, you know, do something new for a change? I swear 75% of my server is rank1 and has no clue how much content is sitting in front of them...

I want to get higher rank, but the only people I know that actually want to do assault only want to do the missions above my rank. =/

There's probably no more than 10 people in my LS that are above PFC. Hell there's people that have never done assault. That's the main reason I've never done a single SM assault. Can never find people to do them.

What's really annoying though is the people that complain when you wanna do an assault that they don't have the rank for, but never bother trying to get any groups together themselves so they can rank up.

ive been SM rank for a while now... looking forward to doing the quest to rank up then hitting up the new assaults ;o

my assault static consists of 3 members and starting from rank 3, we've beaten every mission together except for wamoura raid.. thats the only one we're missing and its pretty hard with 3 people to beat in the time limit.. still searching for a 4th jus to complete it..

we always had the idea since that assault missions show up in your log, there should be some special quest / mission / reward unlocked for completing all the missions.... still hoping D;

I agree, but I would like to ammend your ammendment. Half of the people who post on BG are cockblocked by Websense, which blocks the pictures hosted at POL. The images should be stored somewhere on a free image hosting service that isn't blocked. Those who work are people too, damnit!

Sure worms is easy, excavation duty is easy, and a bunch of other higher tier assaults are easy to trio but none of them can be done solo on any job at any level with 2 alts or friends mules or whatevers afk at entrance.
