I zoned into a floor on one run and got a "Casting Time" restriction. I assume this was like anti-fast Cast. I didn't see a huge difference myself, but then I started with max Fast Cast (AF1Hat, AF2Body, Traits, Loq Earring).

    2. Defeat all Enemies, Avoid Archaic Gears

Kill everything except Gears to clear floor. Aggroing gears will impose pathos which remain until the floor is cleared. Possible Pathos:

    Ninjutsu Restricted
    Weaponskills Restricted
    More (Please let me know)
we got this once and each aggro made us lose 1 minute off the remaining timer.

Actually it isn't, some person in the group can get the tag, have the group enter, then another person in the party once entered can go up to the Rune of Transfer and select the floor

    3. Defeat the Enemy Leader (single)

Kill a specific mob to clear the floor. This is typically a "normal" mob (i.e. not a NM) which cons as "Impossible to Gauge." Note that other "normal" NMs on the floor will drop chests with ??? treasure, but these NMs are completely optional.

    4. Defeat the Enemy Leader (multiple)

We only encountered this once, but there was a floor that had 5 Impossible to Gauge Psycheflayer mobs which had to all be defeated to clear the floor.
This is incorrect, there is "Eliminate enemy leader.", "Eliminate specified enemy.", and "Eliminate specified enemies." The wiki has the mobs you might fight for what.

cleared five floors, saved. unless you keep good track of where you're going, you may end up backtracking to find mobs.

objective: elimiate all enemies, avoid all gears. one of us aggroed a gear and reduced our time limit by 1 minute.

encountered multiple nm's but nothing good dropped.

objective: eliminate specified enemies. floor was undead theme including puks and one rampart. eliminated rampart before puk, no clearance notice. eliminated puk, got clearance.

for our run last night we had eliminate specified enemy, and it was one ITG puk, next floor we got eliminate specified enemies and we had to kill 4 ITG mobs.

so if you only have to eliminate one spec enemy, just find the one that's not a known NM and cons ITG and kill it. Makes for a quick floor if it's close by. If you have eliminate specified enemies its a specific type of mob that cons ITG on that floor.

That's not always the case. Last night on one of our runs we had the specified enemy mission. The floor had two rooms each with a raptor, a wivre, a bugard, and a rampart was in the first room. Our ITG mobs were the first room raptor and then second room bugard. While the ITG mobs are the key to the mission, they won't always be the same mob type.

Anyone else encountered that Vile Dahana (sp) squidface mob?

Pretty nasty... I don't know if he's actually the leader that we had to kill (was our mission) or just a random nm... if it's a random nm I recommand not to kill it with a normal party! Met him on floor 3.

Other nms we went through was some spider (floor 3)I can't remember the name, dropped a ??? polearm.
    Frostmane (floor 3)dropped Idon'tremember what...
There also was one of those ghost nms (floor 3) in gusgen, dropped a ??? ring.

P.S.: Yes, the only nms we tried were on floor 3. We did multiple runs so they weren't all up at the same time!

you had specified enemy or enemies? If it was enemy then is it possible that they are multiple choices(decoys) of ITG mobs to kill? Otherwise yeah, then the spec enemies are not necessarily all the same. My group ran into a specified enemies floor and we had to kill 5 psycheflayers. autofail

    Re: Nyzul Isle Data Records

I dunno if this has been posted somewhere since this was last edited, because at the moment I don't have time to read the thread, however:

This should be Defeat specified enemy (single), and the following one should be Defeat specified enemies (multiple):

The "Defeat Enemy Leader" floors we've gotten have always been separate NMs that aren't in Vana'diel and stick out like sore thumbs.

Floors 10-15 seems to be "Defeat All Enemies". We did 2 runs and this is all we got. I had a setup of blm/nin/mnk/war/sam/rdm and time was a bit rough. I'm thinking of trying a burn setup with nin/nin/war/sam/brd/rdm. Samurai there for SC and rdm can MB if needed.

I think you just got unlucky. In two runs through floors 6-10, all the floors were either "Defeat All Enemies" or "Defeat Specified Enemies" along with possible restrictions.

We did 11-15 last night. And by this I mean we did 11 and 12. We got Kill specified enemies (6 psycheflayers) but do not destroy gears; followed by light all lamps in order. Exited after 12 with about 1 min left. If we had gotten kill all enemies I would have pissed a rainbow of joy.
