Civil War: The Initiative shows Ms. Marvel admitting that Cap is still barely alive in critical condition in the Raft prison. Next week's New Avengers #28 has Dr. Strange's astral form visiting Cap's comatose body. He's the super soldier after all so maybe just a bullet through the chest won't kill him. Or this could just be a really long drawn out death like Captain Marvel's.
