I only wish it did that to me. It literally crashes PoL for me and I have to reboot the program.

just crashed my POL when i tried to steal blaze spikes from a pot in temple.

Is it when you try? Or when you absorb? It doesn't seem to be 100% dc.

So far I've used steal since patch:

In Besieged on a Qutrub, I absorbed Haste. No one dc'd.
In Nyzul Isle from a pot, absorbed Blaze Spikes, 4/6 of my party dc'd.
In Castle Zvahl on an Ahriman, dispel onry, didn't dc.

Same thing happened to my group after log in at Char. We called a GM to report it and they said they were aware but then they... apologized on behalf of Japan.

Wait... am I missing something or did a GM just tell him to "go right ahead" and do something you can't do without windower? clipboarding doesn't work with ffxi does it?

Windower's got nothing to do with it, HyperCam, Fraps, etc. all take screenshots and are perfectly acceptable to them.

I got into Dynamis real late last night. There was only about 30 minutes left on the hourglass.

I knew about the danger of steal, but I just couldnt help myself.

First steal... coin
Second steal... coin
Third steal... coin
Fourth steal... coin
Fifth steal... coin
Sixth steal... coin

Ive been doing Dynamis 2x a week for years and never gone 6/6 in a row. I am usually lucky to get 6 in an entire run. Too bad time ran out, because I would have loved to keep going.

My theory on this is that they did a ninja fix. They maybe disabled the buff steal, which has a fiarly high steal rate, but for whatever reason had it default to item instead of fail. The result is a much higher steal item rate.

Or maybe I just got insanely lucky, both in steals and not DCing my alliance.

No, they said that for now, people should turn on their Special Actions filters to avoid the crash with Aura Steal.

/knows Elipse is a THF and wonders just who it was that DC'd the group, hmmm?
