If SE scans these computers and compiles the data, they'll either:
1) See that its Windower, and not ban them because like 90% of their PC players are using it.
2) They'll see 90% of PC players have something called "launcher.exe", and think its an irrelevant and common program found on most PCs.

Either way, SE isn't gonna ban Windower users, unless you do something fucking retarded ingame mentioned in every previous "o noz my windower" thread.

They might notice it when they see waol.exe hooking into pol, I dont think a normal aol prog would do that.

I live in Sweden, born in Sweden, raised in Sweden.
Here we cannot sue for money just lost revenue, and in case of injury lost future revenues as well as damage. This is based on a pre-defined sliding scale from 1-100% disability were every percent gives 1/5th of a base, where a base currently is $5618 as of 2007-03-09 due to exchange rates).

And yes Swedes do find invasion of privacy a very serious crime, and we don't get jack shit in terms of monetary compensation if we win in court.

Are you really running the Windower (which Taj says they don't care about) or some other 3rd party tool (which they will care about). Generating a hash of how your processes hook in to FFXI will let them compare it to apps they don't mind (you're OK) vs. ones that get you a private meeting with Rocco and the Banstick.

At least that's how I read it from my "I know just enough to be dangerous" level of programming knowledge. Whiz kids please correct me if it's way off.

That depends on whether or not they're transmitting their findings. If they're only looking up hashes in a local store and flagging the account, bfd. However, if they're transmitting all the running processes on a user's machine, that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. I seriously doubt that's what they're doing however.
