Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

We finished floor 19 and figured we give a shot at a king floor. As we enter a fafnir is spotted in the center of the room. Nin/Mnk/War/Blm/Rdm/Brd was our setup. Sadly we had a "no weaponskill" sickness, so that kinda hurt our chances. Even without ws's 1 single nuke took him down 8%. Our DD wasn't having major problems hitting him. However he hits like a fafnir, hit me for around 200ish and his hurricane wing was quite viscious.

We got it down to 65% then ran out of time. Pretty easy with proper setup and anyone with experience at a real fafnir. Just need a bit of luck with the random sickness given and time you have left for that floor. GL.

Their aggro range seems very small. Just wait until they're not right in the centre of a hallway and ninja past them, or wait until they're on the side if you want. It takes an extra few min but it's worth it if the penalty is -1min per gear.

not sure if you guys already knew this but you can pull the archaic gears with a ranged attack, sleep it, and then have a tank/melee voke it instead of aggroing it and getting a penalty on tokens or time. waiting around until they're on the side can easily waste a few precious minutes.

lol that guy mixed up the mobs but either way, has anyone who fought the toau hnms have them use their respective rape moves on you? ie fulmination, goh, nerve gas and if they did, were they comparably weaker or just doesn't use it much because you're limited to a couple of melee tping off it? D:

Hydra spammed polar blast for first like 30 seconds, then spammed grav move for rest of the fight.

No heads were cut.

I didn't see any nerve gas.

We had adamantoise first, which was a joke. Next we had behemoth, which was noticably harder, but still fairly easy. Hydra was a bitch, i don't know if it was because the NIN couldnt hold hate off the ridill WAR 2hr or the MNKs HF, but it kept hitting them like a fucking mack truck. None the less, noone died, and still had somewhat ample MP at the end of the fight. The refresh effect for sanction owns. Fight took like maybe 2-3min start to finish.
