My thinking is that the additional magic accuracy over Zenith, and no -HP(For a Taru anyways..) outweigh the small difference in damage. They're the best RDM gloves I have as well.. :/
Can you do this:
Your sig says you have a 75 BLM. Next time you are in Bastok (or Windurst) go out to North Gustaburg (or East Sarutabaruta), unequip all your gear except the goliard hands and nuke a Huge Hornet (or Tiny Mandragora) just outside the city entrance with a tier 4 spell that is unrelated to the current day's element. Report here how much INT you had, if you have any merits in the element of the spell you cast, and how much damage it did. Then add any gear you have that adds MAB in other slots (don't worry about stuff that requires latent like pendant or ring, though) and repeat the cast, reporting the new total INT, the difference in MAB, and the new damage.
The reason I ask is because we know the INT for those mobs, and while it should be possible to determine the lesser colibiri's INT from your zenith and AF+1 casts above, you appear to have less INT than the target which makes it a little trickier. Also, you used a staff in the 2nd cast and while it's easy to factor that in, it'd be better to leave it out just because it's an irrelevant term that could lead to error if the bonus from goliard is calculated in some unique way. Using data from the starter zones we can just calculate it from the ground up and figure out how it fits in.
