Has anyone noticed they changed Goliard Cuffs. The Magic Atk.Bonus is +4 now instead of +4%
Can any blm test this again now? I mean they should be better now...
Since i've had my Goliard Cuffs, before update, they've always been MAB+4. The % was a typo on wiki or wherever it was posted.
Hmm well theres a pic there and it says Magic atk Bonus+4% n i hadnt seen them ingame before upadte. So iunno .
And when the Blm test was done in this thread I think it was done by the 4% not really sure.
So the question is are this better for Blm then Zenith because of the Macc4+ bonus or still morrigans > zenith > Goliard.
It was always MAB+4, it was just typoed as "MAB+4%", and they corrected the description 2 months ago in the June patch when they fixed Denali Body AGI.
disk holder weapon might be 100 % i was on drk death sickle dropped and i got the clearence for floor 100.... the pic is on page 18 in this thread mid page.. conformation if a few others get same result.

a JP group in my ls just completed there 2nd run to floor 100, first one was before update droped no head and blm staff.Originally Posted by buttermilk
2nd floor 100 clear got them the pld Brave sword and askar zuchetto. Not sure about which of them held disk/job they were on etc
We got Redmage "vorpal blade" when i cleared mine. I am blm only so this is invalid. Although i would love to have the blm weapon just to test if there is some sort of hidden on them.Originally Posted by buttermilk
The disc holders weapon is only 100% 2nd time on same disc my group and a few others found this out a while ago its a few pages back.
edit: meant in the other thread i think its on page 3 or 4.

So for completion on floor 100 twice with the same disc holder is you get your weapon 100% of the time? Great! Se fails once again to produce something worth the time and effort you put into it. (unless there is something i am not aware of that the nyzul weapons add to the player.)
Recommened PT set up? lol, my group sucksss
question, what typical PT setup do you people use on floor 80+? we just did three runs and got werked, our setup was SAM MNK NIN BRD THF RDM, AoEs and such owned us ;/
sam,war,blu,thf,brd,rdm.
blu is very helpful for fighting NMs and chariots with headbutt and stuff, but capricious cassie and her bad breath can be a motherslut.
what exactly killed you?
the level 80 boss, we got hydra and whenever someone without shadows pulled hate they'd die in about 2 seconds (me) and just the overall other AoEs with status ailments and the damage, the rdm couldn't keep up with the healing, and I missed the last tag but they died @ 50% to cerberus ;/
On higher floor bosses, we make sure that every melee and tank job picks up a Body Boost from the chest before we enter. Sometimes they pick up Dusty Wings and Fanatic's Drinks too (most of the boss' AOE TP moves seem to be physical from what I've seen). Body Boost makes a huge difference in everyone's survivability, especially if someone without shadows pulls hate and starts getting clobbered. Body Boost also lets the tank open with a very potent Spirits Within to establish hate.the level 80 boss, we got hydra and whenever someone without shadows pulled hate they'd die in about 2 seconds (me) and just the overall other AoEs with status ailments and the damage, the rdm couldn't keep up with the healing, and I missed the last tag but they died @ 50% to cerberus ;/
The job setup we usually go with is WHM, BRD, BLM, NIN, MNK, DRK. Not the strongest job setup there is, but it's the jobs that we're all most comfortable playing in tight situations and the ones that we're best geared/merited for. Our BRD just got his THF to 75 last week and we've started using that on our lower floor boss runs to increase our drops, but on higher floors I think we're going to stick with our old setup for now.
That is, once we get back to doing higher floors. I was a dumbass on our last run and didn't warp out early enough during our floor 100 Cerberus fight (typical WHM paranoia, I was afraid Cerb was gonna go apeshit on everyone the second I left), and I ended up getting hit by AOE paralyze at the last second which prevented me from warping out before Cerb died, causing my disc to get erased ><. Oh well, at least we got some lolPUP claws and a lolBonnet for our trouble.
mnk/nin(bb) nin/war thf/drk(th4) brd/whm(fife!) rdm/whm(balrahns!) blm/whm
is what we use for every boss run. usually have no problems, floor 100 cerb can be a bitch though. fanatics/body boost for nin, magey stuff for the mages. i pickup items from chests because im runic key holder on floor 100 for the second time (warping fun!) and tokens dont come easy when you're throwing 1900 out the window each floor 100 farming.
1) Have people noticed that Floor 40 and 80 bosses are more difficult than their floor 20 and 60 counterparts? We've primarily done Floor 20, with a few runs of floor 40/60/80. One time I wasn't there, they said floor 40 seemed harder, but I'm not sure if that's because it was a newer person main healing (I'm always main healer when I go).
2) I was part of the group that wiped 3x on floor 80 a few posts earlier. I don't think any of us has fought the normal HNMs, Khimaira, Cerberus, or Hydra more than a handful of times (if at all), so we're not even too sure where to position people. Is it tank in front, melee at sides? Also our melees often pull hate, so that might not even work very well.
3) For Hydra, is it possible to cut off its heads? We couldn't seem to cut any off at all the 2 times we've fought him.
My group is attempting Floor80 for the first time this week (we've spammed all the lower bosses for all of our gear first) but we didn't notice any difference in difficulty between Floor20/40 at least, with our setup (mnk tank that's an experienced PLD+NIN, thf, blu, rdm, brd, blm).
Positioning is pretty standard on all 3 of the ToAU NMs, where you don't want to stand directly in front nor pull hate toward the rear. You pretty much have the tank tank on one of the NM's feet, and the melee fight slightly to the side of the tank (not directly in line of sight of its face), and mages are ok standing max range to the sides anywhere in the front half of the NM (not directly in line of sight of its face). Each of them have a breath move that should only hit the tank for minimal damage that way (and status debuff too). Pulling hate to the rear can cause a mini-flail move (cerb is scorching lash, khim is plague swipe, hydra I forget).
Hydra can have its heads cut off like normal Hydra, and seems to be caused by critical damage also like normal Hydra. My group happens to have high crit melee jobs, but using some drinks buyable from the armoury crate are useful in helping deal critical damage on any job. We've even had our BLM nuke really hard and knock a head off, I believe.
My semi static Isle group usually goes
Pld/nin, Rdm/whm, Brd/Whm, Drk/nin, Mnk/Nin and Mnk/Nin (sometimes Thf/Nin if were doing bosses). This setup usually gets us to the boss with plenty of time to kill boss. All DD get Body Boody & TP Wing for farming. Mages also get Cleric Drinks. Unless we get unlucky with floors, this setup has been very successful for us. Cleric Drinks btw are awsome for Soulflayers.
