    Re: Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

Not sure why people have a whole lot of trouble with "Eliminate All Enemies" floor (Except 60+). But the mobs usually con EP-DC maybe EM-T, but the key is to be merit-pulling with one or two pullers (brd and rdm pulling is very easy).

If there are two directions at RoT, the tank/DD go one way and I follow to heal, the black mage goes the other way and sees if he can solo, the brd mass pulls. If there are slimes/puddings, we just have the blm solo them.

In rooms where paths split again, some of the pt will fight in that room and I'll pull whatever is at next room while brd is pulling another room (bind/sleep/sleep2/kite my pulls).

Mobs go down very quickly, and there is, natually, luck involved. Sometimes we'll get a looping floor and not have to worry about someone being at RoT after final kill (on last room/mobs, our brd runs to RoT to warp up upon completion). The other night we went through 4 empty rooms and ended up finding 6 puddings in the very last room (not looped) and wasted 3 minutes just searching (poor scouting skills =P ). This floor could take as short as activate all lamps or as long as ordered lamps + gears (I ... hate these floors).

    Re: Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

My group has a pretty easy time with most eliminate all now. My group consists of NIN NIN BLU THF BRD RDM. On most floors, we found it optimal to split into 3 man NIN THF RDM and NIN BLU BRD groups. This helps cover the floor quickly as everything dies pretty quickly. With shadows, you should be taking minimal damage, enough where my BRD can main the trio without much problems. To save time, I send the THF back once it looks like there is only 2-3 left and the porter is far away.

Best floors are the free chests floors. Nothing beats just running around like mad getting free temp items while one person stays behind to port up.

    F100 folks:

Have you noticed the 96-100 floors being easier than.. well.. almost every other set of floors? Or is it just us?

Today was our first stab at F100 farming:

96-99 took 17 mins the first time, 14 mins the second, and 19 mins the third.

We pretty much had time to pick our noses and stare at Khimaera, Cerberus and Hydra (we got one of each) each time.

Course, all we got was PLD, BRD and BLM weapons.

Our group's hardest runs have mostly been 96-100, so I think it's just luck of the draw. Seems like every time we do that set, we get 5 Psycheflayers/chariots, that annoying charm-happy frog NM, kill all enemies floors with 3 Dahaks + assorted mobs, or Gem Heister Rorooroon + avoid gears with White Magic restricted.

We've gotten no JA (matched with cerb, no fun) and no WS (fafnir, almost timed out but killed him and got feet) before on boss floors. I'm dreading the no whm magic. I know it's coming.

Last time my group got the no whm pathos, we just used flies to get out. 3x dragon floors are hard enough, impossible without whm.

Other times when we have gotten no whm haven't been too bad, just use 2x paeons, and if you get into trouble use soul voice paeons.

Tonight is Askar night, i feel it. Stargazer, it's coming. >.>

I'm curious what everyone buys for items before entering boss levels? Our DD usually buy Body Boost and TP Wing. Mages buy Clerics drink since we dont have a whm for stona.

As THF, I like Monarch (auto TP) and Champion (crit%). Seems to help with breaking hydra heads. The 100 token Attack and Accuracy are neat too but don't last very long. I'd love to buy one of everything but the vending interface is REALLY bad and I don't like losing time.

    Re: Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

Fanatic's Drink + Barbarian's Drink + Body Boost + Dusty Wing for farming runs, for the melees.

With the above, if you have 3 good melees, you can take down any of the 3 TOAU bosses rather quickly. In 1-2 minutes.

Fanatic's Drink prevents most of the AOE status effects from the bosses, as well as makes you Invincible once you steal hate.

Hmm. This is interesting. I might go Champion instead of TP Wing on Mnk since any more TP for asuran fists is wasted.

    Re: Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

I always make my melee prepare for Cerberus. Body boosts, wings, monarch's drinks (so they can have tp regain through times when stoneskin is up). My bard might buy a body boost and the magic acc drink, but my mages don't get them too often. Or I don't anyway, since I'm very stingy with my tokens, being one of the discholders. Really, they should buy as much as they can if they're not discholders. I make them buy a lot and I still think members are in the 20k-30k+ token range, perhaps more. It's been awhile since I asked what other people's token amounts are.

Speaking of the magic accuracy drink, would it help to land debuffs on the ToAU Bosses as a Rdm? I can't recall a time I've landed Para2, Slow, Blind, or Gravity on any of them.

    So more specifically
    1) Do any of the Rdm enfeebles (not counting Dia or Bio) stick on the ToAU bosses, if so which ones?
    2) If anyone's tried enfeebling them after using the magic accuracy drink, do any of the enfeebles now have a reasonable stick rate?

Hydra and Cerb are pretty resistant to debuffs, Khim seems a bit weaker. I can't comment on RDM but on my BRD I've tried using the MAcc drink to see if it helps stick Elegy on them. It hasn't made much of a difference despite the current popularity of MAcc for BRD. Double CHR etude plus Earth Threnody does seem to help, particularly on Hydra.

I usually go with a mixed CHR/skill build, but this week I'm going to try stacking skill, particularly adding more Singing since Wind is already pretty heavily loaded. My gear and merits are ok but not top of the line.

I think Pninja posted some info on sticking RDM debuffs on these guys in Nyzul Isle earlier in this thread or a related one. You might try a search to find it. I think he mentioned that he uses the MAcc drink and likes it. Hope this helps.

I can't land elegy on any of the TOAU bosses in there. I've tried going pure skill, soul voice and bursting elegy on it and still got a resist. I don't even bother trying anymore, never landed. Tried the M.ACC drink and elegy without any success.

    Re: Nyzul Isle Initial Findings

We did 20, 40, 60 and 80 again last night, and I wanted to get a bit more information on Hydra since that has been the boss that I know least about. In the past we've sometimes found that his regen can be a problem when we're trying to finish him off.

We had him on floor 80 last night, and ended up with a 4 minute kill, which was a lot faster than I expected so I figured I'd post some details. WS that were effective included Tachi:Gekko and Kasha, BLU Vertical Cleave, Disseverment, and I think Ram Charge. I believe SC was Darkness. BLM found that Thunder was effective, Ice and Fire much less effective. Heads were gone after 2min and after that he went down fast. Denali jacket drop (our second).

    Hope this helps. Oh, and I couldn't land Elegy on him last night for the life of me. Go figure. ; ;
