If you continue on and exit without timeout on say, floor 8, do you still get credit to start at floor 6?

While I don't think this has been actually confirmed by anyone, I see absolutely no reason why you wouldn't.

If your "Data CD" or whatever thing it's called says you've cleared up to Floor 9, there is no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to start on Floor 6.

When i just checked with the sage guy, about my runic disc. He said i have investigated up to floor 14. When we finished up to floor 11, he said I have completed up to floor 10.

Did anyone else encounter different nm's on the first 10 floors, or different normal mobs?

We ran into Frstmane the NM Manticore on the 1st floor when I went in last night with 2 frineds.

Dropped ??? Sword ..... but turned out to be a Claymore

Second floor we found Uriri Samariri (sp)
Frog NM that proceded to nuke us.


Cant wait to get home tonight and go in with a full team and have some fun.

The first post in that link has pictures of a few NMs plus the bounding boots being appraised.

When i get home I'll look through my screenshots and talk to Funk. Hopefully we can come up with a list of the dozen or so NMs that we ran into.

Just to clarify, when people are saying re-enter at floor 5 what they really mean is enter at floor 6, and when they say re-enter at floor 10 what they really mean is enter at floor 11, correct?

When I did Nysul Isle, even when someone else exited, it recorded how many floors I've beaten. So I'm guessing you can't go to floor 50 with people who didn't beat that many floors.

What I'm interested in finding out is, can you go to the next floor, then leave by your own will without completing the objective? I tried to leave when it became apparent that we were not going to beat the floor in the alloted time, but I wasn't leader and it wouldn't let me leave. The leader was a JP, and I had trouble trying to tell him that I may need him to come exit because I was unable to before we timed out. Can anyone who was a leader tell me their experience with trying to leave the assault without having completed the objective?

You can't leave until objective is complete. Checking the Rune of Transfer as leader gives the same mission objective line as everyone else gets.

Anyone can exit. It's whoever moves you to the first floor from the starting area that consumes tokens (if not starting at 1) and gets credit for floors cleared. Our group cleared 1-5, then 6-10. Only the person that started both is able to start at floor 6 and 11. Everyone else has cleared 0 floors.

Btw, the assault ldr (which I don't think has to be the same person as the one moving you out of the starting area) does get 10% more tokens.

On the first floor, we had the choice of:

Travel to the floor on the right.
Travel to the floor on the left.

Is there any significance to this? I mean, if every floor is random anyway, why bother making a fork at all? Maybe different buffs? Choosing floor on the right rewarded AGI Boost effect...

We got that too. It still moved us up to the next floor. We got a haste buff that stacked with haste. The melees were orgasming.

Yes, I know that the person that exits is the only one that can move to the other floors, but I didn't touch a single teleport thingy and it still said it recorded my progress. I also have them listed under "Completed floors".

My question wasn't if someone else could teleport a group there, my question was if someone who do nyzul isle for their first time can get teleported to, say, floor 50 with the help of someone that got that far. I'm guessing you need to have actually completed floor 5 in order to be able to get teleported there by someone else.

Our NMs were, in no particular order:

Bat Eye
Hellion
Leaping Lizzy
Asphyxiated Amsel
Peallaidh
Carnero
Falcatus Aranei
Emergent Elm
Vile Ineef
Nutmeg Custard
Stealth Bomber Gagaroon

The last three on that list were NMs for the "Eliminate Enemy Leader" floors and didn't drop any appraisal items. All were on floors 1-5.

As for Nutmeg Custard, our BLM dropped a Burst2 and pulled hate for a minute. I filter dmg, but it stands to reason that he didn't pull hate off e.body WAR and BB MNK if magic got nulled/absorbed.

EDIT: I think Carnero dropped ??? Polearm which appraised to Maple Wand, but I'll have to double check that.

Well we did it a couple times. Frostmane on the 3rd level each time dropped ??? Sword. One was Wax, one was Bronze.
