Ya that's why I said it's BS, and I probably have more experience with bosses than any pickup person we get (we never had a non-drop on floor 100 once we actually started farming it... there was never a time we DIDN'T kill it unless we were real low on time). People'll believe anything these days if it makes them feel better about the drop rates.

That said, I know it's bull anyway - we've gotten lots of drops on 60. Those are of course denali and askar.

One question. Does anyone have any tips on how to combat Floor 100 Cerb's SS spam? I win alot of the times but sometimes we just clock out because too much SS.

The way my group has always done bosses, and it works just aswell on cerby even when he's spaming his stupid SS is have a drk use spys/fanatics/body and zerg the boss. they go down in under a minute everytime

Oh my god, that was the most whiplash inducing shit I've ever seen in Nyzul.

We get the all touch data lamp, a kill all with like 6 mobs right near the lamp, imp boss, spec enemy right outside the room, hit hydra before the 15 minute warning, I think he was dead before the 5 minute came up after he got spammy with phys shield.

Next run: Ebody puddings in a huge floor, kill all in a huge floor with Vouivre, Amikiri, Unut, Mousse and Puddings all over the place, another NM I forgot... probably more... timed out due to not having enough nuke power for the huge pudding floor, and then the big packed kill all + buncha NM's clusterfuck ftw.

Well today we finally got one... a floor without White Magic.

We knew it could happen, we have a BRD and a BLU but today's special on floor 77 was specified enemies.

It could have been worse, not much but it could.

We've had a lot of bad runs with time outs lately... consisting of 5 frogs/flayers/puddings/imps floor after floor. But for the first time in my time of doing nyzul we did a 60 boss run where we went in with 2 free floors and were at the boss in 6 minutes... and amazingly the boss dropped sch weapon...!.. but on a positive we are 3/4 on askar body!

Is there any good way to handle CC?

Ended up getting the mob on our 91-95 yet was insanely rough. We had blu back a room for clerics and had drg, mnk, 2nd blu on it. Got luck I think with just one bad breath. Ended up with 1min left win.

Did 95-100 with almost 15mins left over for a runic key. Plus got our revenge on stoneskin spamming Cerb.

CC really isn't that bad if you come prepared. Our group always takes the full compliment of meds into nyzul. Keep poison up and the rest you can deal with. Also our whm sub'd sch and used sublimation to stay awake. If all else fails, keep someone who can heal in an adjoining room and only have them step in long enough to wake up the main healer.

As for the no white magic restriction, we've gotten it on boss floors twice. Once on adamantoise and the other on khim. We won both times but it was sure an interesting fight.

You can't get out of range of Cassie so don't even bother. I'd rely on poison more than sublimation because once sub fills up you can get caught and there's a 30 second cool down before you can use it again. It's a good time to use Bene just to clear status, especially if peeps are in trouble but bind and grav can be a real bitch.

When we forget poison potion, we just make our bard stand 50 feet away after the song. If the whole party get slept, I pop my fanatic drink and 2h to finish it faster.

Saw first Denali feet/head the other day yay! I love the boss floors that give us regain!! ws spam = awesome. But for the first time the other day we got a boss floor with a lock on all job abilities! How fun is it when all you can do is melee with no weapons skills..... although the no ninjitsu was a fun floor with 4 out of 6 people /nin!!!

Gotta love that or 3 floors involving Puddings/Cassie/Roc.

Oh oh and those gear floors where the gears happen to be on the lamps and you have 5 lamps in a specific order.

I don't know if it has been posted yet or anything

but Tonight my set did floors 75 - 95

we cleared no problems from 75-90

then we got a floor with a ton of NM's and it was
KSE (kill specific enemy)

so on vent we're talking and we find it, and we're on floor 93
and we have 26 minutes left, so we decided lets kill all the NM's

4 minutes later and about 2 mythic weapons satisfied we continue
to the next floor, where we get

Kill Specific Enemies, and their Proggoe's

when this happened I pretty much said, I think the more NM's you kill
on the floor below the worse your on coming floors will be

and this statement has held true for us in the past, where we
would kill a random NM like Stray Mary or Smirgue and then move
on, and then we'd have bad floors for the rest of that run.

Anyone else have any findings that are true to this?
or is this just random bad luck, cause its really consistent with us
we've decided to stop killing NM's that we don't have to and focus
on the clear.

although we went from floor 1 - 40 no problem then wiped on floor 50
trying to clear after previously killing 3 NM's on the floor behind.

then we went from 50 -> 80 with no problems with out any NM's killed
and now this.

this might be kinda random but uh... has anyone noticed a change in drop rates in the past 2 months or so? My group has been doing 3 nyzuls a week for over a year, and we've always had at least *something* drop 50-60% of the time with TH2. But for whatever reason in the past 7 or 8 weeks (21-28 runs) we've gotten precisely 1 non-weapon drop from a boss.

I hate being one of those people that says "omg patch they messed up drop rates quick post on BG" but I really don't think it's random, at this point.

Had a really long ~18 run dry spell with TH4 where nothing dropped on floor 80. Thank god we actually got the body drop we were after when we got something...

Actually lol, we had a dry spell which I thought was fixed recently lol... so I guess we can concur it's completely random!
