I didn't parse the Behemoth fight, but we killed it in about 3-5 minutes with BLU, BLU, WAR, BRD, RDM, BLM, so it most likely did not have its full HP, but its TP moves seem as powerful as the origional's.

The question is, did it drop anything?

Defeat floor 20, save progress, start at Floor 21 on next session....
.dat checker also shows 15 ranks for the city missions, even though they stop at 10.Originally Posted by fantasticdan
oh thats right you start on the floors like 6, 11, 16, 21 with saved progress.Originally Posted by Taliesin

my theory is every 20 floors is a boss floor, harder difficulty, higher drop rate, floor 20 has a very low low drop rate, floor 40 will be better, 60 even better, 80 awesome, floor 100 maybe 100%?
considering that since it was parsed those are the hardest mobs people have technically found, that would be my assumption that floor 100 wont be JeJ on super steroids
Sorry for not posting pictures, didn't see them on my LS boards.
People there told me it wasn't easy. Hp adjustments did allow the 6 man team to beat it but it was very close. Those pictures are pretty well geared as well.
Maybe you're not supposed to open chests on the first couple of floors to get drops later?
or do you have to open them?
Chests currently appear from:Originally Posted by Shinebox
1. NMs that aren't required to clear the floor (Golden Item chest, gives ??? Item)
2. NM / mob that is required to clear the floor (Blue Chest, has Temp. Items inside)
You don't have to open any of them, but you're letting the items go to waste if you don't.
The Behemoth/Adamantoise/Fafnir (and probably the Hydra/Cerberus/Khimaira) are enemy leaders or "specified enemy" mobs? They seem out of place with other enemy leaders, although they were placed with Alzadaal mobs/enemy leaders/specified enemies (imps, squid, frogs, flan, rats, gears, chariots) when that guy posted the mobs in the .dats.
EDIT: Maybe the HNMs' "out-of-place"-ness with other enemy leaders is supposed to symbolize that they are special and can drop outside items? >_>
EDIT2: Maybe they're not too out of place since the "Vana'diel mobs" are probably supposed to spawned from ramparts (even if we do not see the spawning), with ramparts being "Alzadaal mobs". Also, can ramparts be "Eliminate specified enemies." enemies? If so, then the HNMs would fit since enemy leaders are sorta HQ "Eliminate specified enemies." mobs.
[pointless]
EDIT3: Okay, came with the conclusion that they are not out-of-place, since enemy leaders and "Specified enemy." enemies might represent the 4 types of mobs found in Nyzul:
Alzadaal archaic machines: The 4 chariot leader NMs
Alzadaal... sentient beings?: Imp/soulflayer/Poroggo/flan/Qiqirn leader NMs
Vana'diel normal monsters: "Specified enemy" NMs
Vana'diel notorious monsters: The 6 HNMs found here
and then I would say there are 2 "supergroups": "Alzadaal enemies" & "Vana'diel enemies".[/pointless]

But it would be funny if fafnir, behemoth, adamantoise was just there as a mob to cockblock people and the loot isn't actually in Nyzul isle assault.....that'll be something, huh
All the complaints SE received that said "We don't even get the CHANCE to fight Fafnir!" really paid off!
In retrospect we should've been more specific. I mean really, this is SE we're talking about, we should've seen them trying to gip us out a mile away.Originally Posted by Mofro
today on floor 2 we didnt have to do anything. Group leader checked the rune and it asked him if he wanted to go to the next floor. I couldn't take a picture because we warped to floor 3 right away. It didnt say anything special it just asked him which floor he wanted to move to, or if he wanted to exit, a pic probably wouldnt help.
My group got a floor like that. The level was actually littered in treasure chests that had a ton of the salvage and besieged potions.Originally Posted by Kunami
Got Behemoth on floor 20.. Parsed at around 20,000 HP. Hit me once for 320 damage, so definitely a little more attack than the regular Behemoth.. also can't recall him missing me at all. He was pretty strong to magic as well..
And of course, no drop or chest..
We've also gotten a floor like this, except it was our first run, so I didn't realize there was no objective...wasted almost 10mins here.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Hmmm, perhaps:
Floors 20/40/60 - Behe/Toise/Faf
Floors 80/90/100 (or maybe 70/80/90) - Hydra/Cerb/Khim
And eventually we can fight them as non-enemy leaders. Hopefully. >_>
