Ulli: Rare pop item

16 hours and 172 Aura Statues later, no dorp. On the bright side, we watched a ls come up, claim 12 statues, and get 3 diorite. Then they proceeded to spawn 3 Ullis back to back. I love Final Fantasy XI.

Edit: Make that 4 Ullis. Time to call it a night.

First night I went to the Enkidu camp we got 2 diorite in first 2 hours, since then I'm going on 10+ hours with no drop (around 350 enkidu). I guess its just bad luck, but I thought I would post results anyway since most people posting are having really good results.

Same. Based on the fact that you can obtain Diorite at multiple camps, but it's not -extremely-, overwhelmingly rare, I think they made an excellent decision on how to execute this update.

We spent yesterday afternoon fighting 7 (SEVEN) Ullikummis in 3 hours. Holy fking crap this update rules.

lol the only other issue for now is the traffic jam to pop Byakko as well on certain days. We planned on doing 4 two days ago, but an LS up there was already starting to do 5; so we just did a Kirin to kill time.

There's a difference between slow killing because of low numbers, and slow killing to manipulate TODs. I don't think any of us want to go back to the days of 3+ hour adamantoise/fafnir/behemoth hold-a-thons, even if it did have the potential to keep kings where you wanted them. Honestly it's pretty clear when something is being low-manned or when people are just intentionally taking a long time. Clearly there are cases of GM retardedness, but more often then not they make the right call.
