I'd hate to be the person who spent all his tokens to get to the top floor and lose lot to someone who was just along for the ride. lolOriginally Posted by Alyriel
I wonder if some groups have a "leader gets the drops" setup where each time they cycle between who is leader, and repeat 0-4 6 times until everyone is recorded at 5, then 6 more times at 5-9, etc. with the drops going to the person who spent his tokens (unless he doesn't want).
You just have to be careful, though, once you kill whatever is on floor 100, DO NOT EXIT so you can restart at 95 next time rather than being recored as having finished 100 and starting at 0 again (assuming finishing 100 cycles you back to 0).
I was thinking of my scenario more in the line of a melee-job-only leader whose 100floor mob drops a Goliard piece that his mage friends can use. Sounds like a great way to have fun and have both you and your friends benefit.
I highly doubt finishing floor 100 will cause a reset to your progress... SE isn't that dumb.Originally Posted by Khamsin

On the other hand, what if you pass up a floor you want drops from? Say you pass 20F already but want another shot at Askar Feet or Denali Legs? The only option is to find another person who hasn't gotten past 20F yet, then.

No. Then you just get the person with 100F progress to choose 16F to start on. You can choose any floor in increments of 5 to start on, up to and including the floor you have progress to.
o.o reached quota when update came out and people read posts with my sig ; ;Originally Posted by Sonomaa
For those of you still holding out for awesome ??? items from Nyzul, prepare to be disappointed.
It seems that each block of 20 floors (1-20, 21-40, etc) has 18 possible NMs to choose from when each level is generated. 0-2 NMs are generated per floor. When a NM dies, it drops a chest containing a ??? that is sometimes appraised to the NM's unique drop. Where the NM has 2 "unique" drops, only one type will ever generate. For example, Emergent Elm only ever drops ??? greatswords.

Weren't Fafnir, Behemoth, and Adamantoise all in the .dat list for possible mobs in Nyzul Isle as well? And they weren't repeated at all, but yet still appear on F20 and F40.
Although it could mean nothing because F20 is definately a different layout then the rest of the floors, and I would assume F40 is as well.
They are in the dats but they exist in a different location than the randomly-spawning NMs.
After the NMs, the dat looks like this:
(for "avoid detection / don't kill gears")
Archaic Gears
Archaic Gear
(for "kill the boss")
Mokke
Mokka

Vile Wahdaha
Vile Ineef
Vile Yabeewa

Eriri Samariri
Oriri Samariri
Ginger Custard
Anise Custard
Cumin Custard

Vanilla Custard
Gem Heister Roorooroon
Qiqirn Mine
Stealth Bomber Gagaroon
Quick Draw Sasaroon
Shielded Chariot
Battledressed Chariot
Long-Gunned Chariot
Long-Horned Chariot
(for "defeat specified enemies")
Heraldic Imp
Psycheflayer
Poroggo Gent
Ebony Pudding
Qiqirn Treasure Hunter
Qiqirn Archaeologist
Racing Chariot
(for L20-40-60-80-100 bosses)
Adamantoise
Behemoth
Fafnir
Khimaira
Hydra
Cerberus
I'm amused at the quantity of Taisaijin. If only he gave you his awesome title in Nyzul Isle.
Maybe SE caught wind of the "a taisai dropped it" joke, and made the Taisaijin a rare NM that can appear in any floor 20+ that has a chance to drop anything. lolOriginally Posted by fndragon
Wasn't Aurik the one who discovered where Salvage armour drops are located for each remnant? How can one person contain so much awesomeness? Anyway, from the way things are heading, I really wonder what SE was thinking by teasing us with all of this... I pray that I am wrong.
EDIT: Could someone provide a list of Vana'dielian normal monsters in the Nyzul .dats and is there any pattern between them in the blocks of 20 floors?
EDIT2: Pray that when the Hydra/Cerberus/Khimaira are the enemy leaders the Behemoth/Adamantoise/Fafnir can appear normally.![]()
Okay, so clearly it will be Taisaijin that drops Ridill, then.
Keep dreaming lol
