The damn Knife's been in the game before the cap was even raised to 75.
Weskits and Staves got flooded because of crafters.

I am glad SE is trying to save us time and effort in getting these items. I didn't start playing this game so I can spend months camping for each uber item I want. If I only played for gear then I would spend all my time playing dress up with model viewer. I am for anything that allows us to spend more time exploring content. SE is learning from WoW that people want to grind less and adventure more.

I did feel sorry for all the thfs that spent hours camping or spent millions to buy the knife. On the flip side, I have a ton of gear that cost me (or was worth) millions back in the day but they are now meh-everyone-gots-one gear that costs 10k on AH.

You know, I genuinely understand the feeling of having your accomplishments feel like they were basically shit upon with the game evolving. Ryko or Nyst (or hell, even Aurik) can tell you that of all the Thieves in our linkshell, I probably had the *shittiest* record of all the thieves in our shell as far as camping that knife goes. Hell, I've even had Thieves that camped it long ago say "Yeah, you had to put up with more shit camping it and competition than I did"

I agree that some items *should* require alot of time and effort to put in to get. Ridills, (and no, not because I have one, because Ryko again can tell you I was one of the few people that *didn't* pine over one, nor expected one), Kraken clubs, Relic weapons (hell, I think they should have even more awesome for the bullshit they require) Ebodies, alot of the pieces from Salvage. Shit like that should require time and considerable effort to obtain.

But a Thief's knife? Come on, even with my shitty record I think having it be obtained easier (admittedly, maybe they should have put the drop in line more with the spawned Pallas/Alky bracelets) is a good thing. The bottom line is that it's TH+1%, which yes, can help (in contrast to the guy that only had /THF at his great Fafnir drops, I've been at many of our lucrative Fafhoggs and other NMs) but shouldn't be that goddamned retarded to get.

Big whoop, so Thieves don't get to wear it as a status symbol and effort of hard work anymore. The right people, and the people who *should* matter will know the amount of time and effort you put into busting your ass to get the knife. Gimp Thieves will get a knife easier? Great, just means they can't use it as a sole excuse to get into an HNM shell anymore. If you're as great a Thief as you think, Nynja, then you should just shine more.

That's the way I look at it, anyway. A mass influx of retarded Thieves just makes me seem that more impressive when I'm really a mediocre one, ha.
