This is just too damn funny. Over on Alla someone made rather similar complaints about the TK. After reading the patch notes they said they were pissed about how much easier it would be to get now compared to what they had to do. Your response? A leaky vagina joke.

as far as my thief is useless endgame rant:
once again, pre-assassin and 68+ dagger damage boost. Never changed the fact that thief was always my main job. I'm not the one who plays this game based entirely on endgame usefulness.

Thf's knife price is going to absolutely plummit(assuming no roll backs and no drop rate nerfs soon), but other than that I don't see why the economy as a whole will be hit.


But then economics never was my strong suit.

Because every dumbshit thief on the server who couldnt solo Jaggedy Ear Jack or were completely undedicated are going to have a weapon that dedicated thieves who spent a collective 100+++++++ hours on it...

Yeah, I profited well off of that idea. Only 100k AH fee to see if I could turn it quick. I was home over lunch today when the spam /tells started asking if it was a joke sale. I hadn't even looked it up until about the 5th /tell.

Thanks for the quick update on 100%, got mine sold before that got too far out there. And Erumitto (Odin) is a Clothcrafter (doesn't mean he doesn't buy, but I have never questioned his wealth before), so I assume it was just a knee jerk reaction that paid off well.

Don't know if it has been posted yet but their is a glitch with Drain II and Dread Spikes. If you cast either of the 2 spells with hasso or seigan up, you can recast them 10 seconds later by using them in a macro. (Has to be a macro or it doesn't work). Lets you spam drain endlessly until you run out of mp.

That explains why the price of Thief's Knives is gonna plummet.


Since the market for the thing before was kinda exclusive given the price, and that the drop rate precluded it from being any kinda major source of income for anyone but RMTs, I'm just not seeing how this will really impact the economy in general.


ISNM dropping talons actually had an impact on shells that got a decent amount of fundage from getting a few claims on fafnir every week. More people getting sea dropped the fuck out of the Ancient Beastcoin market(and the original high price of those coins flooded the market with gil when they were first released as people who had been hoarding it bought the things up as quick as possible to be first with brutal earring etc.)


Like I said, economics isn't my strong suit at all, so Im not seeing how an item which before now was so rare, and too expensive for any but the idle rich to afford suddenly becoming more or less as common for thfs as parade gorget is for plds effects the economy as a whole.

Or anyone for that matter save the few thfs who were hardcore enough to camp it themselves and went 1/really big number, and those who blew 8 figures on it a week ago.

For the first, I suggest petitioning for the aforementioned racing stripe. For the second, well it blows that your investment kinda didn't pan out, and its not like anyone saw it coming, but thems the breaks, and I am admittedly slow to genuinely give a shit about something that doesn't really affect me.

I swear the bike jokes are getting run into the ground but, you have a point. In regards to myself being 1/1 on Sozu before this patch I'm happy about this myself because while there are going to be a lot of subpar THFs running around with that knife, those like you & even more so Tensaiji deserve your knives for the amount of commitment, patience and time both of you put into camping Sozu. Granted I still think you're an ass Ayn but I give credit where it's due and you play your job very well.

So what if I was 1/1 it doesn't change anything for me in this update and I'm sure as hell a lot of other THFs feel the same way. If you want to be respected as a good THF then work at playing your job as best as you can. That'll get you into an HNM shell eaiser then just having TH+1.
