Well if we're just going with Aquans, I would suggest KS99 turtle.
Adamantoise mobs aren't aquans either, at least in my experience, Bibiki Seashell doesn't work on them. Wiki has them listed as lizards, but I dunno how reliable that is.
    This is true.

I heard krakens used to be amorphs but then they changed them to aquans. Or maybe I'm thinking of funguars~

Mythology-wise, which is just about as important as mob type could ever be, Aspid would be Aquan-type.

A great way to determine what a mob is (for adamantoises, the rest can be determined by BLU spells, although SE did screw up on some at first) is by using the rampart reinforcements since they each use 2 monster correlation things:

    Zhayolm Remnants:
    Beasts & Amorphs:
Tigers, coeurls, marids, & manticores (Beasts)
    Slimes & hecteyes (Amorphs)

    Arrapago Remnants:
    Plantoids & Aquans:
Mandragora, korrigan, cactuars, flytraps, saplings, treants, malboro, goobbues, & funguars (Plantoids)
Crabs, pugils, uragnites (?), krakens, & orobon (Aquans)

    Bhaflau Remnants:
    Vermin & Birds:
    Bees, chigoes, & spiders (Vermin)
Colibri, ziz, birds, & rocs (Birds)

    Silver Sea Remnants:
    Lizards & Undead:
Lizards, raptors, efts, & adamantoises (Lizards)
    Skeletons, ghosts, & hounds (Undead)

And what is with people "not trusting FFXIclopedia" anymore after the whole paralysis incident? It was 1 Junior Administrator that is now gone... It is okay not to trust it just because virtually nothing is 100% trust-worthy.

    No, they're not.

EDIT: Amphibians are frog/toads, salamanders, and those dudes that I used to be able to spell and pronounce when I was a kid.

Adamantoise-type mobs are intimidated by Lizard Killer. They're lizards.

I didn't say Tortoise, I said Aspid, as in Aspidochelone. I don't mean biology when I say mythology.

    Copypasta from ffxiclopedia:

In Medieval folklore and bestiaries, the Aspidochelone (also called the Asp-Turtle) was a gigantic combination of an asp and a turtle that lived in the ocean. It was so large, sailors would mistake it for an island. The Aspidochelone even had trees and bushes growing on its shell. The sailors would often drown when the turtle dived back in the ocean. Usually, this occurred when the sailors started a campfire on its back. It might have originated with reports of an Irish monk who traveled on the ocean or the stories about Sindbad's voyages, one of which involved Sindbad and his crew debarking on a small island, lighting some fires for cooking, the island shaking and diving beneath the waves, taking some of Sindbad's crew to watery graves and leading to Sindbad being adrift on the sea alone. He reported a creature which looked like an island, but went beneath the waves. Most medieval drawings depicted it as a large fish instead of the asp-turtle mix. Its name is derived from the Greek words "aspido" + "chelone", which mean "shield" and "turtle". The title it gives, Aspidochelone Sinker, derives from its island nature, meaning to slay the beast is to cause it (the "island") to sink.

Can anyone post or link to a definite conformation on strider's boots from Prehistoric Pigeons KSNM30?

Cassie Earring and Serket Ring have both been confirmed through screen shots already, I just want to make sure the boots dropping in Pigeons before I go and dump a multitude of seals on it.

    just for the record:
youre talking about speed belt being in turtle KS99, and its being discredited because turtles are lizards and not aquans...

may I ask when Behemoth's were classified as greater birds ??
