Sea drop rates after update?

We killed Ix'MNK twice, both times no deed. Using 3 organs.

Did you get Vice both times?

Kelt and I are in the same LS - we have actually gotten Vice on Ix'MNK three times in a row now, much to the chagrin of our NINs and RNGs, but the mages don't seem to mind. All three of those times, we popped with three organs and pulled the Ix'aern away to the Ebon Panel room while I zoned the Qn's and adds up the portal. We tried again with 1 organ since we had an extra and got no drop.

Also, tonight we got axe+virtue from Temperance, but he was the only Jailer we fought.

I know this is ultra OFN/derail, but maybe they ninja'd AV again along w/ all the other sea changes. Someone should give him another honest try. 1 2 3... flame go!

So Jailers appear to be 100% on virtues but Ix's are not 100% on deeds.

Well the Ix have always dropped either deed or vice, never both correct? So if they made deed 100% it would mess that up.

Did Prudence tonight, dropped nothing. Gm reported it to the glitch department.

Very frustrating.

Did another Prudence after the "no drop one" and it dropped 6th virtue and wand.

GM couldn't restore pop items.

Sounds to me that it died while warping, therefore unclaimed, and therefore dropping nothing to pool.

No, it can drop both, or one or the other, or nothing at all.

Can't make the deeds 100% or they'd have to make ghrah M chip and I suppose one could argue HQ organ drops more frequent or 100%. By far, having virtues be 100% is a huge improvement; I can deal with the Aern farming etc.

On another note, did people notice that the Ix'Aerns were "stronger" or whatnot? There was the notation of some monsters being made stronger, and I wonder if it was the Ix's to discourage the soloing/duoing people do of all three.

Hmmm I've never seen both drop on one kill, and I've always seen one or the other drop, with the exception of a single organ ix'mnk pop. Everytime I've popped with 3 organs, either one or the other has dropped.

Ok, I'm not sure if they changed anything to Ix'drg, but we popped twice in 30min.

Killed Aw'Smn in 2nd room on our 2nd kill and it popped. Got Deed
Killed 2 aern and finished with Aw'smn, popped again

Deed are like 95% drop rate, and when they wont drop, you get a nice cape, so it's all fine. I'm hoping they increased the pop rate of Ix'Drk/Drg, but it was probably just a fluke earlier.


Ghrah M chip and HQ aern organ drop rate was sadly not improved

In nearly a year in sea, I've never seen an Ix drop both. Always one or the other (with the exception of <3 organ MNK, of course). I can attest to the same results as well, my LS killed Temperance and Fortitude tonight with full and Virtue + Weapon drops, respectively. However, one of the things that I noticed a lot was that our luck on Ghrah M Chip droprates was awful (~1/20), way worse than before the patch. Additionally, Sickle Slash from Ghrahs seems to do a good chunk less damage than it used to (600-700 now instead of 1100-1200 against the taru NIN). Thirdly, Ix'DRK popped in 4 kills for us, much faster than normal, although with such a small sample size, obviously, it could be a fluke. Fourthly, Fortitude now Vorpals our PLD for about 150 damage with no shadows. This with Sword/Shield and no uber special elite defense gear (no D.ring, no Shadow Mantle, no Defender, no nothin'). Probably a fluke as well but it certainly made my life as a WHM easy tonight.

And I, who screenshots everything, for some reason just tossed that pic; I didn't realize full drop was rare, but I'm pretty positive we got both. I'll ask around, I doubt anyone remembers, but I don't recall having heard that it was one or the other before, or it's just never had a reference made to it that would then have me thinking that.

I don't know why I am sure I'd seen it drop both once, then. But then again, if I'd been aware it was supposed to be one or the other, it'd probably have sent off more alarm bells in my head too. I just recall thinking, the time I think it happened, that 'oh we got the pop item, nice, and.. hmm, don't think I'm going to bid on this cape, I can solo/duo this and save points.' type deal. Weird. :/

We did love yesterday and got full drops. Never seen a full drop before, it could also be that they adjusted novio/novia. Since those are some of the highly sought after items, maybe they just adjusted the ones "at the end" so to speak.

my linkshell has been doing sea for over a year, and we have 2 AV kills under our belts. we have spent countless hours farming to get cockblocked over and over by tier 2 jailers dropping nothing, thus forcing us to start over from the bottom... this is a welcomed change cause now we can go get our shit and leave and not have to waste our time...

torque rates havnt changed, and who cares if other people get novio earrings... MAB has diminishing returns and is FAR from game breaking.... its blm epeen onry because you will not see a significant difference in damage from 2 top-notch blms with the exact same gear except for novio... i dont know the exact calculations.. but it wont be more than 100 damage difference

its like other people complaining about thfs knife , someone else having a thf knife doesnt affect you in any way... why cant you accept that and let other people enjoy the game too

i like sea farming.. usually its just us in sea when we go, the only thing i see coming from this is that sea will be a bit more crowded... but since like 80% of sea is popped, shouldnt cause too much of a problem...
