    got myself a perdu wand

    14attack (don't know about the +acc value)

this wand is incredable, 39dmg on 216 delay with +14attack and some +acc just blows alot of clubs out of the water

The 501 delay scythes are all BLM equippable. Of course this is the 1st actual good one...

The JSE weapons really interest me, they look to be multihit hidden effect based on the names (a lot of double and quick).

I also might want to get the wand for BLU true striking... call me crazy but that could be pretty sweet.

I was kinda thinking that as well (more like hoping for it). I think the scythe is only D 80, but if it behaved like Joyeuse it'd be absolutely apeshit. I know a lot of people have kinda yawned about the new gear this update, but I think we're gonna keep finding nice suprises.

D90, not 80. And ironically it seems like the 'gimp' jobs get the best weapons from this.

Personally, I think Vorpal Sword lets rdm use vorpal blade. Dancing Dagger lets brd use dancing edge, etc. Need someone to get them first though.

There doesn't seem to be a good place for these weapons to come from, unless it's completing all 100 floors of nyzul isle or something. I would guess they are not in the game yet.

There has to be -something- to those weapons... There needs to be some reason somewhere why I would ever want to equip lv.75 PUP Inferno Claws over Lv.70 Hades Sainti. Asuran Fists would be reason enough for me although that whole theory doesn't fit in for items like Burning Fists or Radiant Lance. It's like some names refer to weapon skills, some refer to speed/doubling, and the rest refer to elemental damage. How odd.

I actually hadn't thought of it that way before... Hmm...

RDM - Vorpal Sword = Vorpal Blade
BLU - Wightslayer = Enhances 'Undead Killer' effect
PLD - Brave Blade = Attack Bonus
BST - Double Axe = Enhances 'Double Attack' effect
WAR - Sturdy Axe = Defense Bonus
THF - Swordbreaker = Added effect: Attack Down
BRD - Dancing Dagger = Dancing Edge
    WHM - Werebuster = ?
BLM - Mage's Staff = Magic Attack Bonus
SMN - Scepter Staff = Minus Avatar Perpetuation Cost
DRG - Radiant Lance = Enlight
DRK - Death Sickle = Endark
PUP - Inferno Claws = Enfire
MNK - Burning Fists = Enfire
    NIN - Sasuke Katana = ?
    SAM - Windslicer = Enaero
COR - Quicksilver = Enhances 'Rapid Shot' effect
RNG - Killer Bow = Enhances 'Killer' effects

The two wrenches I'm finding at the moment is there is no WHM75-only weapon to go with these, and the new NIN75 katana is not listed as R/EX.

    [edit]
That's what I get for taking Wiki at face value. Dug into POLUtils for the items, and it looks like the entries for Werebuster and Sasuke Katana were incorrect. Now we have a R/EX lvl75 weapon for each job. Fixed my speculaton list and the Wiki.

Hey guys, how about this: We wait until one of them appears in-game before we start worrying about them? There is a good chance they are not even implemented at the moment, and there are no exciting traits on them to make us actively seek them beyond normal update sweeping.

Perdu weapons are in-game and finding out how much atk/acc they give on 0 TP would be a good place to take this thread.

My guess? You can trade tokens to get the new assault pieces or these JSE weapons. They seem too random and specific to just drop in Nyzul Island but we shall see.

Maybe Inferno Claws will let you use the Inferno bloodpact with your automaton during Overdrive. But you still gotta have at least 150 MP!

Though, in general, I'd say people might be reading too much into those weapon's names.

A large number of them share a name (or a similar name) with some past FF weapon. Such as the dancing dagger, vorpal sword, mage's staff, sasuke katana, killer bow, wightslayer could be related to sunsword though I believe the W.Slayer in FF3 (original, not sure if its in DS remake) might be this, etc.

Whatever their effects, I think its more likely that their name is not based on what they do, but rather as a nostalgic reference to past weapons in the FF series.

The Magus (close enough to Mage) Staff increased the damage of elemental spells in FF5. Hmm....
