well I still got like 43 charges on them, so I'll try them on things here and there, see if anything good comes up. (though I doubt it at this rate)

Those gloves could be pretty cool to use before 100 fists, or hell, even KC SEBW.

sub-question: Doesn't Blood Weapon over-ride any additional effects?

damage from the enthunder (I used the thunder mitts) was 10 damage (unresisted)

the catch was the resist rate was absolutely horrible. 9 times out of 10 swings (or more) I got 1/8 resist (1 damage)

rarely I'd get the 2 damage (1/4 resist), 5 damage (1/2 resist) and 10 damage (no resist)

Alot of enchantment equip was good in the past, so I had some hope for these, unfortunatly these didn't live up to my hopes.
If you can de-equip them, and you use them against mobs that are weak to element, its not all bad. Sure, its not the Sirocco Kukri but its some neat extra damage for xp and Limbus ^.^

Can also aim for +enhancing gear (from what limited options are available), and matching the en-spell to the day/weather.

I love using Kraken + /RDM enspells, so I'd been considering some en-gloves myself so I could go /NIN for Spampaging and still keep the en-damage.
It's just inconvenient to be restricted to 1 element per glove as I like matching the day/weather for +10%.

Ice Spikes para proc is significantly higher than even Para II, and it's PLD equipable, I'm thinking it might be worth a test.

I'd gladly toss Sentinel let a mob hit me a few times if it'll intensionally cause an Ice-Spikes paralyze.

I'm not talking about a total blood tank, I'm talking about swapping to Ice-Spikes pants, Getting hit a couple of times, causing Ice Spikes to proc, Switching back to Homam legs, then hitting it with a COR's Ice Shot to help the battle on a whole.

RDM - Vorpal Sword = Vorpal Blade
BLU - Wightslayer = Enhances 'Undead Killer' effect
PLD - Brave Blade = Attack Bonus
BST - Double Axe = Enhances 'Double Attack' effect
WAR - Sturdy Axe = Defense Bonus
THF - Swordbreaker = Added effect: Attack Down
BRD - Dancing Dagger = Dancing Edge
    WHM - Werebuster = ?
BLM - Mage's Staff = Magic Attack Bonus
SMN - Scepter Staff = Minus Avatar Perpetuation Cost
DRG - Radiant Lance = Enlight
DRK - Death Sickle = Endark
PUP - Inferno Claws = Enfire
MNK - Burning Fists = Enfire
    NIN - Sasuke Katana = ?
    SAM - Windslicer = Enaero
COR - Quicksilver = Enhances 'Rapid Shot' effect
RNG - Killer Bow = Enhances 'Killer' effects

The two wrenches I'm finding at the moment is there is no WHM75-only weapon to go with these, and the new NIN75 katana is not listed as R/EX.

    [edit]
That's what I get for taking Wiki at face value. Dug into POLUtils for the items, and it looks like the entries for Werebuster and Sasuke Katana were incorrect. Now we have a R/EX lvl75 weapon for each job. Fixed my speculaton list and the Wiki.
I was discussing these in LS too and werebuster would probably be additional damage vs undead (as this was what it did in older FFs adn also the way Shellbuster is add damage vs Quadav).

I also don't think killer bow would enhance Killer effect I mean what Killer effect does RNG have anyway?? Maybe its a Death Bow <.< ??

Q: are there plans to add more ways to obtain relics (unclear whether this means AF2 or relic weapons) or abjurations?
A: yes, we are planning to increase chances (or add more ways?) [for people to] obtain abjurations in the near future; and there will be items equivelent to relics (unclear whether this means AF2 or relic weapons) in future additions to ToAU
Took this quote from an old SE interview (Hooray for the Sticky Forum). If you look at the names they resemble the names of very powerful weapons from past FF Games (much like the relic weapons we have now). In an interview taken about 6 months ago SE said they were going to implement items equivalent to relic "weapons". Perhaps these weapons are the "First Stage" of the new ToaU Relics SE had promised us?

And the increased availability of abjurations they mentioned is probably fafnir in Nyzul. Though he's been stingy to those who have killed him thus far, he could drop an abj maybe.

If that's the case, then why is BRD getting a dagger instead of an instrument? I'd kill for an instrument that even just gave +1 to Ballad and Sirvente (and I guess Dirge). I know BRD can also equip Mandau, but obviously that's not what usually happens.

Same here, I'd be willing to work hard to get a Ballad+1 instrument. We do have access to some nice daggers, but chances of my BRD pulling any kind of a weapon in the normal course of events is pretty low.

I'd kill for a bow that had DMG:81, access to a new and useful WS and occassionally had 3x damage on its attacks. Owai---

Fact of the matter is it's unique for a reason.

doesnt it kinda tick your tail off that the most powerful bow in the game sans relic is level 55?
