This one's new, therefor obligatory.
If you mean killing any weird-named mob (like the troll puppetmaster with 3 buddies, and not your typical Troll Puppetmaster), then /guiltyOriginally Posted by Varg

I could care less weither it's a win or a lose. Lose access to EXP spots? Meh, I'll have fun in some other way i'm sure. But I'll tell you know, beating on something that has a funky ass name is a hell of a lot more fun than sitting around hitting the ordinary. I dunno, maybe it's just me (which it most likely is).
Nothing wrong with it though, losing is a matter of minutes to a day to get it back, it's no big deal at all... so I figure, if i'm gonna sit around for an hour, best make the best of it and actually try to fight something I dont usually get the chance to even look at, ya know?
I went on an exploration to Medusa once, least according to the sites and all, tried to get to her local. If you agro the first true sight mobs, by running all the way to the cliff where she supposedly spawns loses that agro, and you can take a peek at the NM summoner chilling down to the south. No medusa though :\ no fun.
All about fun. My top 3 things to do, in order, in besieged:
Find something with a weird name and beat on it/convince people to beat on it. For the extra EXP.
Find friends and just sing tons of songs for the hell of it.
Find mah buddy galka general and have a nice chat with him as he mashes stuff... man he's great.
EDIT: /slap on the hand for missing the e in mean
Of course, I should take a single NPC's vaguely related line and apply it directly to this.Originally Posted by fantasticdan

I have no fucking clue as to what in the hell you're talking about. But just in case, welcome to a RPG. Rumors from the townsfolk are more reliable than the Associated Press.Originally Posted by LD

Hammer-Go-Round and Drop Hammer are both AoE, at least in the case of Xirlorhur the Clavinger (sp). Also, Clavinger used Collossal Hammer, which I never saw hit, so don't know what it does or if its NM only.

Never mind A: no part of them looks anything like our automatons, B: the Troll Mercs are the automaton specialists, and C: they do not have a master counterpart.
Not only do I have no reason to believe the empire has constructed automatons any different from the ones we know of, but you're more concerned with likening them to other such robots and such to actually think of any other possibilities.
I am not saying it isn't possible, I'm not clear on how an automaton works, but if they have anything resembling a brain, I'm sure it could be washed, I'm just saying the only NPC that refers to lamiae and automatons makes no mention of them possessing the knowledge or the inclination to modify them in such a dramatic way, and I want something more solid than "They charmed them, alright."
So it's not even a rumor, what he's talking about did happen, but there's not enough of a connection for me to take the NPC's words for more than face value.
One person said something about them being a new type of qutrub.
Considering the gold and some bits of necklace, I think that's just as likely.
Qutrub are slowly wasting away and they like shiny shit, it's possible the remains of one was placed in a metal body to continue serving the Lamiae.
Was the body crafted from automaton parts? Maybe, but that doesn't make it an automaton (unless whatever's inside is controlling the outside like one, in which case it kinda is.)
the reason nobody listens to you is cause you make hueg ass posts and people just skip what youre saying
i do the same thing to small and witty...
in fact i dint even read what i just posted. whos eating corn?

no, go touch them in various placesOriginally Posted by Xfaustx
on it.
Yep, the whole "leash" Besieged mobs have- they'll deviate off their path, but only so far before heading back to where they intend to stand and fight. If you do it right, you can save Zazarg every time just by kiting mobs along their "leash" path, then breaking off and letting them forget about you- then loop back around and hit whatever's still bothering/newly spawned at the general. They won't run back to engage Zazarg, and he won't go too far off his starting point. Paladins are actually really nice for towing mobs this way- NINs tend to run into random AoE's along the way and get pasted.Originally Posted by Khamsin

I just realized Rughadjeen (sp) mentions something about a goddess in some of his dialogue... However, I can't recall any special goddess in the Empire's beliefs, just serpents, the serpent king thingy Zahak, a story about Alexander, and them "worshipping" their current ruler. Possiblities?: A) The goddess is the Empress, B) It's never said they don't worship Altana or some kind of goddess, (or it is mentioned that they do fit her in somewhere) C) One of the serpents is a female, D) Rughadjeen is not Al Zahbi-native (I forgot if this was mentioned in his quest), E) Plot hole, F) Something else.

I'm seeking advice to take back the AC from the Mamool Ja. Any info would be much appreciated.
