Server Issues?

Pol 3113 error for about 2 days now. I can't log in. Gonna try restarting router, see if that helps.

Restarting my router did nothing-- still gets stuck on the "accessing server" part.

Edit: Force changed my IP too. Natta.

Cable/DSL Modem tends to have some firewall/router capability in them. Anybody getting these problems on dial-up?

I changed my IP address, and can go into the old dead zones. Only problem is now i have new, different dead zones ...

so being directly connect to the cable modem allows me to be online, if i connect through netgear router i get Protocol Error 3113 ._. reset it...

Im pretty sure the 3116, and the "R0 Dead Zone" errors are different- (although possibly related?). Ive had 3116 in the past- and it was gone the next day when i logged in. That night when i went to sleep i turned off my router, and unplugged my modem- so im assuming a new IP Address resolved the issue.

As for the R0 Deadzone bug- i know several people on my server experiencing the same problem still.

On Gilgamesh ive been stuck in and confirmed with some other people that the following zones have problems (this is not for all users, only people experiecing the "R0 Dead Zone" thing

I'm getting totally different issues than those discussed here. I don't have a router, I connect directly to my cable modem. Woke up this morning and ran down to sky to help LS, and DC'ed as soon as I walked into Ru-Aun. Tried a few times to get on with no luck. I ran a complete file check and everything was fine. I've reset my modem, and nothing is working, I finally managed to zone back into Hall of the Gods so I could go elsewhere. Maybe I should just take this as a blessing and not have to help my LS do sky anymore :O lol

But ya, any ideas? LS member told me to turn sound off, and that didn't help.

Oh ya, it's giving me error 4001, no response from server.

Instantly dc? as in you just get booted out? or R/S goes from 100 to 0 then you get booted? If its the latest, it sounds like everybody else in here.

I zone in, it shows normal S and R, and I see the ***Downloading Data*** thing at the top of the screen, then R drops to 0, and the percentage goes slowly to 0. The different thing for me though is I don't have a router, and also the error message is different.

I seriously doubt it's an issue with routers. I did have the problem & getting new IP resolved it (I got it by chance tho, the net dc'ed for few hours today). I also do have router, but it's a Linux box over which I have complete control & there has been no problems with it so far.

The problem *might* (I highly doubt it tho) be something like server (the ones that serve zones) trying to send data to the port that isn't the one client gave to it and refusing to use the port client gave it (cache? If the server does cache the port & ip, it would explain why resetting IP helps).

Everything was fine, normal R0 @ Whitegate, tele-mea, hit maze, d/c.

Now I'm stuck inbetween zones.

God damn, I finally get some time to play around with the new update and I can't even log in. This blows.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I've considering trying to fuck around with my MAC address, but that seems stupid to do if I have no idea what I'm doing. That said, is that a good idea to look into?

A friend of mine is having exactly the same problem. It really does sound like the server is trying to send packets through a blocked or inappropriate port.

Would make sense as the issue is them connecting to us, not vice versa (which is why tracing to their server shows it's fine). My internet has been kinda screwy today though, so who knows.
